Uefa/Fifa are far from perfect, but I rather see Inter playing under their leagues than Perez and Agnelli owned league!

Now we still have a chance to win something… Serie A, Coppa, Europa league, CL…

In Super league there are zero change us to win anything if criminals like Agnelli and Perez are in charge and controls that leagues money and referees!
We're already playing in an agnelli owned league

He is losing some of his power at Serie A, but still has some support Comisso, Carnevali… If he would still have full control Dumfries would not happened last sunday.

Milan's model is a lot more attractive for investors. Balanced budgets and relatively low wage bill. On the other hand, Inter are piling up on debt and they have recorded big losses every year since pandemic started. Unless you get a sugar daddy, the next owner will have to cut costs drastically in order to make the club profitable again and it wouldn't be pretty.

I haven't looked at milan's books, or ours for that matter, to do a year by year comparison but iirc milan had similar around $100m losses last year and double that the year before.

Also it is $1bn enterprise value, which includes debt though I do not know if they have any debt.

ok so maybe not. This could be great for them.

the other thing about milan is that they're ok with letting their players leave for nothing instead of doubling down on high salaries. if they had extended donnarumma, calhanoglu and kessie for what they demanded, that's like 40-50 mil net a year they'd be on the books for

this is why we're trying to let sanchez, vidal and other huge wage earners go

whereas, our model seems to be getting these high wage guys without the up big front transfer fee, and funding it with player sales. though, at least we're able to get player sales, unlike milan.

that said, with the restrictions around crowds starting to relax, the money that wasn't there from gate receipts will come back and help tremendously

The major difference between us and Milan is that their owner willing to sell the club while our not. Thats it.
well elliott are literally the bank

that'd be if suning defaulted and we were run by oaktree capital while they got our books pointed the right way and tried to find a buyer

Exactly. Milan carry no debt because it's all covered by Elliott, and they've built a decent team inexpensively all things considered. We are in roughly comparable circumstances but they make a profit whereas we make a loss. I keep telling you guys ;)

Milan can build decent team because The owner can trade any player from Lille. Lille is pretty decent team.

they're about to turn a huge profit. Back in the CL (compared to last season) + stadia revenue, they could turn a major profit this year - media speculated up to 100m but obviously a lot of that can go into transfers.

Compare to us, we lost 240mil? last season? And we dont have incremental CL revenue this season to count on compared to the previous one (Well, a bit, we get R16 money, but 0->CL >>> Group stage exit -> R16)

on a quick check, they've signed 2 players from lille in recent history? Hardly like its a major scandal.

Maignon was signed for like 10m euro. Which is nuts.

We have more revenue, how are we spending and losing so much more than them?

yeah, but its one or two players, if they had like 8 from Milan I think we could highlight that as being some level of subsidy - at the end of the day, Milan are spending intelligently, prudently, and have the rewards for it.

In our -240m loss, we took a whole bunch of write offs e.g. Joao Mario, Nainggolan, etc valuations. Our salary book is also a lot higher than theirs - to the tune of +60mil apparently for last season (https://www.sportingfree.com/football/serie-a-wage-bills/) - and I'd guess our amortisation schedule is much higher too? Milan have spent a lot in recent years, but its been a bit of a revolving door right e.g. Piatek in, then out, Lucas Paqueta in and out, etc. The actual squad they have right now has like 5 or 6 players above 20mil in transfer fees (Leao, Castillejo, Kessie, Tonali, Tomori, Hernandez, Romagnoli I dont count as it was ages ago) - compare to Inter w/Gagliardini, Gosens (?), Barella, Sensi, Bastoni just as a really obvious example.

It doesnt surprise me.
