Yeah, what you propose may not be a particularly popular strategy. However, this plan maybe a way out. The only big risk is not competing and getting a CL spot if Inter gives away the store this summer. To help ensure that possibility Inter needs to strengthen the defensive depth and bring in at least some midfield help. Then pray for a lot of 1-0 victories and achieve 70pts.

Don't have one.
I don't mind Dybala in general, but I don't get another thing. Obviously we are in shit situation, we have to reduce the salaries bill and to cut the expenses, but Marotta and co want to spend small fortune on Scammacca and Frattesi?! Why don't bring back Agoume and Satriano instead? Yes, maybe they are not so bright talents but there is no guarantee that Sassuolo's pair will become good enough. Anyway our target for next season will be nothing more but top 4 finish, so I personally prefer to impose some of our youngstars and add more depth in required areas, instead to get Scammacca and Frattesi and hope that they will contribute.
Don't think even we know what to do or what is our strategy anymore. We have this strong desire to win trophies, especially since marotta arrived, our signings in recent years reflect exactly that, but at the same time we are digging ourselves into a deeper and deeper hole.

I would respect zhang, marotta or whoever much more if they just came out and said look fuckers we are in huge debt, we are aiming for young unproven players, we have to be patient etc...

Instead, we are somewhere in between, neither here nor there. We have some sort of winning team, but also you just sense we are few steps away from total collapse. Just too much balancing and the rope is getting thinner and thinner.

Exactly. That money for scamacca. Is he that much better than pinamonti? Almost the same amount of goals and scamacca is playing in a much better, much more attacking team.

Well, what we don't know is what the collateral is or the terms of it. If it's only 30% then that's all the ownership they can take, but there may be terms that allow them to buy the rest or force a sale etc etc

I mean ain't no way someone is giving you 300m (iirc), for a collateral of 30% of smth that is valued at most 1bn..

Ahh okay. Thanks, that makes a lot more sense. I guess then the risk of default is basically minimal - 700-1 billion in collateral for a 250m loan. Elliot/Milan are a precedent though I guess.
ok so it was clarified afer sorry for double post

i don't mean to dampen the mood, but don't we also have a lot of "sponsors" that basically showed us the middle finger?

Suning needs to reevaluate the price. Theyre asking for too much

Tbh im not sure they even want to sell
What is their plan if they do not intend to sell? Cuz, it's clear that Inter cannot stay competitive (top 4 finish) in a long run, if we sell our best players every summer and replace them with inferior ones.

Inter can stay competitive if they learn how to properly spend their money and not throwing it out the window for garbage.

After the treble season the way we handled our players and coaches situation were quite pathetic. Lots of money, years and talents lost because of bad management.

Our whole banter era could be handled differently if instead of changing coaches and bringing more Jonathans, Kuzmanovics, Rocchis and Schelottos, we setup a very well thought policy about our salary cap, choosing the right coach and relying on a scouting system that could get us the bright talents in the world before their price go out of our reach. That way the outcome could be very differently. The way this club was run over all those years was not sustainable and the heavy loss each year is an indicator of that.

We let many young talents to slip out of our hands because we considered them not good enough for us, or because we were crying to have no money when we were wasting it on garbage instead!

Dybala joined Palermo for 11 million at the time when we were among teams linked to him, but probably found him not good enough for us! We went for Ricky Alvarez instead of Erik Lamela for 5m less when the latter was clearly a better talent. Lamela had a successful time at Roma (unlike Alvarez at Inter) and sold later for profit. Before Eden Hazard price go up Moratti was an admirer of him but hesitated too long that we could no longer afford him. There are many more examples. Just look at how we lost Zaniolo for a washed up drunk.

Iirc we tried to sign Dybala but he preferred Palermo for development?

In general I agree with your post. We fucked our own fate.

I reckon with the need to raise huge amounts of money every single summer we can stay competitive for one, maybe two years tops. I mean competitive in the sense that we have some chances of fighting for scudetto. The reason for that is simple, we still have a young core of good players, even if we sell one or two.

But forget about properly spending your money meaning not spending big, just hoping we spend it smart and competing for scuddetto in a long run. Best case scenario with that strategy is you become new napoli, consistently in cl but always failing to get a big one. You need to spend big and smart if you want that kind of goals, as we saw with our example in these past few years.

In other words, you need your lukakus (spending big) and your skriniars (spending smart).

One other thing with spending money smartly and not relying on huge funds is you're gonna take risks, so garbage will come whether we like it or not.

Yeah of course owners dictate the pace, the goals, everything. Like now, owners dictate we want to win but they downsize the spending, thus the management need to scramble in that situation. Then they make these half-panicked acquisitions like Correa for 30m€. For example that cannot be put purely on management as owners dictate the spending ratio and what are the targets for the season and/or near-future etc.

The plan is to pay the debt of 300 million, of which I think has already been paid 100 million, in this window another 100, and in the next window, taking into account the profits and by reducing the average salary at the club will be enough and 50 million euros, and then only the development, the club is profitable brings about € 80 million a year, will take another loan for the stadium and it will bring about 110 million a year, selling it for 1 billion makes no sense, I remind that Thohir buy it for €250 million >
Thohir left club with debt €637.56 million > and Zhang buy it for 270 million euros and now Zhang should to have club for 637+270=907 to get to zero )
