The only jersey sponsor that we would be permitted to have in the final is a charitable organisation.

We are not permitted to secure a once off commercial sponsor. UEFA's rules do not permit it.

Turkish airlines are rumoured to be in the front seat at the moment.
yes, but I mean, is there anything that stops us signing a new 5 year sponsorship deal + the CL final?

I get it, we cant get a one off for the CL final (Eg Bet365 for the Final, Turkish Air next season) ,but does it stop us being Turkish Air for the final AND next season?

Or can we sign a sponsorship deal for like 15 months that can be terminated by either side at anytime after June 12?

tuttosport - New main sponsor, Qatar Airways is currently ahead of Turkish Airlines. Thanks to the great international showcase offered by the Champions League, Inter's goal is to close at a figure of at least € 20-25M per season.

Jesus fucking christ if those are the numbers we're talking about here, it's depressing as hell.

Milan is making 30m+ with Emirates annually.

Let's hope it's just Tuttosport propaganda, tweaking the numbers down to look bad on Inter.

In the first three years, Emirates I read somewhere that only paid Milan 15m. So it is a good start for Inter to get 25m from a Qatar Airways.

Emirates deal was upgraded December last year to that higher number.

That's how it says in some news back then
“The iconic Emirates “Fly Better” logo will continue to prominently feature on the men’s First team’s playing jerseys across all of the Club’s season fixtures. Emirates branding will also appear on youth jerseys across all national and international AC Milan Academies around the world, with the mission to share the positive values of football through the initiatives of the Club’s Academies.”

Waiting on Marotta to say what the fiscal picture is and transfer monies available, cause I really don't have a clue with the Oaktree infusion mentioned by@Il Drago above, and the CL monies along with other prize bonuses from the Coppa etc mean. What do Inter have to reduce and how much can they realistically spend

That Oaktree money is most probably just go make the ends meet ie. money to pay salaries and such commitments. The club makes losses still so we simply need external money.

Given we are taking that external money, I can't see how it could be.

I havent made any forecast for the season yet - I would hope we're close to break even, but to be honest, its *next* season that we should be targetting for breakeven - we will cut wages quite significantly, I suspect, this summer with players leaving. Replacements will obviously offset some of that, but I dont think it will amount to everything. Plus we will have to write off the 30m from Digitalbits, which is significant obviously

The CL progress is great, and it probably adds up to like an extra 100m between matchday, TV, prize, etc, but we need to build on that with some degree of consistency - so you attract new sponsors, and you "feel comfortable" spending that money (not in a one-off sense, but in a seasonal sense). Also boosting our pool ratings with the CL helps, though I dont fully understand how that money is distributed nor where we stand in it right now

Will we really? I am not so optimistic about that.

Skriniar earns 3m net but he needs to be replaced. I can't imagine saving too much from Handanovic, D'Ambrosio and Gagliardini departures as they were already on low salaries and they need to be replaced. De Vrij was reportedly offered same terms as of now. Dzeko was offered slighly lower than his current salary. If we try to keep Lukaku perhaps we could save a bit if he's willing to take a paycut but that's just a hypothesis right now. Also Bastoni and Hakan got raises in their contracts. Onlly selling 1-2 starters could decrease our wage bill significantly in that case.

And that's why i am against offering new deals to De Vrij and Dzeko. We can't afford having players on high salaries sitting on the bench. Not anymore.

It's a bit dated now, but from here:

Handanovic, De Vrij, Dumfries, Gagliardini alone is 29mil a season gross. If we add Correa, Brozovic and d'ambrosio to that mix, it takes us up to 54mil a season. Bastoni's amortisation bill is still like... 40% of his salary, so extension with 1 year left will massively reduce that - its likely he will come out about net neutral for us I suspect.

I'm also in favour of not offering new deals to De Vrij and Dzeko - Dzeko I mind less if we cut him down to like 2-2.5mil net, De Vrij should be like 1.5-2mil based on his contribution this season IMHO. He costs us about 8.5mil gross a year including amo (agent fees I guess), we could definitely spend that better elsewhere.

And of course I forgot Skriniar, too, who costs us about 11.5mil/season, so him leaving is quite a big financial impact as well

All those savings are lost fairly fast when we start calculating how much the replacements will cost.
I agree but my point is that it's freeing up money for us to spend. 60mil a year of savings is 6 players on 30m transfer fee with 5m gross salaries if we spend it all.

obviously we dont spend all of it, but there's potentially money on the table. Esp if CL revenue covers our plusvalenza needs for this season and any Dumfries/Brozovic/etc money is transfer budget for us.
