Watched the last 30 min of the game and he was great up to that moment, motm great, saved some dangerous shots, and then does this shit. Good thing he did this coz i put some money on Fiorentina to beat them.
This is called loser mentality. He made some great saves, then he thought that he is super good, and the karma hits him instantly. He haven't learnt his lesson from previous time.

As a former Inter player u would hope he does well unfortunately all GKs get bombed on when they do stuff like that, only thing he can do is learn from it but is that a mistake from a lack of play time? you would think he would know where he is standing so catching it and jumping backwards after catching the ball seems like something that he shouldnt do unless he has a gun to his head.

Again these mistakes are maybe acceptable if ur playing football in lower divisions or with ur friends in a friendly, you would think training at Inter and being around Serie A coaches players would do better but it seems his career trajectory isnt going well.

Just to make things clear i am on complete disagreement with you on the youngsters topic. But just a look on this thread is enough to convince me you're actually right! The problem isn't just the management or the coaches. It's the fanbase as well. The whole organization doesn't have the patience to develop a youngster.

The issue isn't Radu of course, who's nothing special, but the mentality a youngster isn't allowed to make mistakes. You can find many videos of GK mistakes out there. Manuel freaking Neuer was getting laughed for his mistakes at Schalke. I can't even imagine (or actually i can) what would have happened to Donnarumma's career if he was making these mistakes at Inter.

If you aren't ready to support a youngster when he makes mistakes, then don't even bother playing him in the first place. Making mistakes is a part of a youngster development.

And for the umpteenth time, we didn't lose Scudetto because of Radu. We lost it because of De Vrij fuckups. We lost it because of Inzaghi poor subs. We lost it because we had no Brozovic backup and when he was missing we got utterly destroyed by Sassuolo. We lost it because Lautaro and Dzeko disappeared in big parts of last season. And, most importantly, we lost it because we became complacent after Perisic early goal at Bologna instead of killing the game.

I get people want a scapegoat for last season capitulation but blaming it on Radu is ridiculous. In fact, his mistake didn't make a difference in the end.

OMG, I can't believe Donnarumma made it to PSG with those howlers. Seriously, we are tooooooo harsh on our youngsters, can't agree more.

tbh, there's a reason why we've been closer to breaking through strikers than any other role, really, in the last few years - its a lower pressure roles. Strikers are expected to make mistakes, they only need to get lucky once. They can fuck up 10 things, do 2 really well, and have a good game. A defender can do 10 things really well, fuck up 2, and will get torn apart. A goal keeper needs to do 12 things perfectly to have an acceptable game.

Depends whether you believe Inter is finding the inner strength in that game to find the winner without the radu mistake.

His mistake made a big difference but it's not the only reason the scudetto was lost . There are multiple as you mentioned above. Radu was just the final nail.

Based on what i was watching on the pitch i had no such faith. Ever since Inzaghi brought Barella out for Sanchez, we had basically lost midfield, we hadn't created a single chance and we were only trying with long balls from defence. The notion we would find a goal in last minutes out of nowhere is based mostly on wishful thinking, that we would all love to see, and not on game's momentum. Sure it could happen but it wasn't the most likely outcome. Unlike Milan, our opponents didn't usually gift us goals.

Takes a second to score a goal there was still 10+ minutes. We will never know what would have happened had radu not done what he did. Both sides of the outcome can be argued.

I don't understand how can Radu be used as an example of fanbase not being patient with youngsters. He's not a youth player, he's the same age as Barella, we don't think Barella is still a youth player so why would Radu be one?

I'm happy to see Pirola make mistake after mistake if it means we don't go and sign Acerbi. I'm happy to wait on Casadei, Agoume etc and accept their mistakes if it means no more Galgiardini.

The way Radu is being treated is no different to the way Galgiardini is being treated or Vecino was being treated and that's because they are not youth players who are still learning.

Because of the way the club has dealt with his development. Radu has played 1/4 of Barella professional games. His entire professional career is half a season at Avellino and 18 months at Genoa. He spent rest of time rotting on the bench. Barella has over 200 games. Age alone isn't a factor of development. Development doesn't happen in the safety of training grounds. It happens in real situations of actual games where there's pressure to deliver.

Most people who say they are happy to see youngsters make mistakes are extremely low in self awareness.

There have been countless example of youngster being written off after failling to perform for 2 matches. Dimarco, Pinamonti,… and even Brozovic and Lautaro have been targeted before.

Coaches have been criticized for risking a result with youngsters too. You’re never ok with mistakes, you just dont want to admit it.
