It's not exactly nothing. Even if you don't play in the games, everybody matters in the grand scheme of things - these people train together, eat together, travel together. But mostly the "train together part" that matters.

What happened to Joronen? He was Serie B best GK last season and now he is even benched by Radu who hasn't had playing time in years. Makes you wonder if his benching has to do with off field issues.

Joronen played badly at the start of the season, but yeah a bit strange he isn't considered at all.

Radu did well overall. He made a good save from Dovbyk's attempt, but couldn't do much for Dybala's penalty. For someone who's been out of action for so long, he's actually done pretty well.

As for Joronen, I saw him play earlier in the season. Venezia let in too many goals, but he also made some good saves, which is to be expected. If you let in lots of shots on target, there's a chance you'll save one or two. Teams kept losing and eventually lost his spot to Stankovic.

There is not much information about the transfer, but I can only guess that there is a resale profit percentage clause because we allowed Radu to leave in January, which would mean we would record capital loss on the deal (~0.8m).

Not necessarily. If Venezia agreed to take on his wages for the rest of the season, we likely wouldn't care about the capital loss. The remaining amortization being recognized in January or over the next six months makes no difference.
