Yeah, captain status makes it harder to just drop him. I don't think this goalie situation is handled too well. Radu might be promising, but he needs to fucking play, play and play. He won't do that at Inter week in week out.
Meh I honestly don’t think he’s getting that much better then he already is. He’s a good back up.

Radu was solid last night and I can't blame him for either of the goals. On the first goal his line of sight was blocked by 3 of our players, and the second goal deflected off the crossbar onto his back side, there's no defending that.
He didn't look shaky, I could hear his voice numerous times instructing our players and he sounded confident and assured. Good backup goalie, I wish Inzaghi would let him play now and then.

Radu is a good GK. If Handanovic stays, loan him out and then bring him back once Handa leaves.

Nothing much he could do about the two goals. My only concern is his footwork. We play our ball from the back 90% of the time. Handanovic is virtually a play-maker. Radu lacks a bit of sharpness in this area but that's understandable cos he rarely plays.

Shame for him to leave when Onana arrives. He's club-trained, no? Honestly I'm really not convinced by investing on Onana.

RADU ‘DISAPPOINTED’ BY INTER TREATMENT

Ionut Radu’s agent admits the Inter goalkeeper is disappointed by the treatment he is receiving as Simone Inzaghi left him on the bench for the last Coppa Italia game against Roma.

The 24-year-old has only played one game this season, conceding two goals in Inter’s 3-2 win over Empoli in a Coppa Italia round of 16 clash in January.

Serie A coaches usually rotate their teams in Coppa Italia games, giving some playing time to second-choice goalkeepers, such as Radu.
However, Inzaghi picked Samir Handanovic for the match against Roma on Tuesday and Radu’s agent Oscar Damiani revealed that his client was not impressed with the coach’s decision.

“Why didn’t he play? Everybody expected it,” Damiani told Gianlucadimarzio.it.
“He wasn’t given an opportunity in Coppa Italia and we are really surprised. He played 120 minutes against Inter and he did well.
“He had received important offers in January, from Italy and Europe, but Inter wanted to keep him.
“He is being praised during training sessions, but then, they don’t give him the chance to prove it on the pitch. I respect the club’s decision, Handanovic and Inzaghi, but Radu deserved that stage. He is disappointed.”

Remember how the club wanted to loan him out last summer?
Instead he stayed claiming that he wants to fight for the first spot. This is the result of his decision and he should live with it.

The 24-year-old Romania international had returned to San Siro after several loan spells at Avellino, Genoa and Parma, hoping to take his spot as understudy to Samir Handanovic and be groomed for the future. Instead, he has barely seen the pitch and the Nerazzurri have already signed Ajax shot-stopper Onana as a free agent for next season.

“Radu is very disappointed to have been left out against Roma in the Coppa Italia, because he had started the previous Coppa game,” agent Oscar Damiani told Radio Sportiva.

“Ionut is a better goalkeeper than Onana. I know about goalkeepers, I was the one who brought Dida to Milan and was mocked, but you all saw what he achieved.

“Things didn’t go the way we hoped at Inter and he will leave at the end of the season.”
This Damiani guy is getting ridiculous with this statement... but he`s 71, so perhaps that explains it?

Of course Radu need to go. He'll be 25 in a month and sitting on the bench now for almost 3 seasons ain't helping him. I also don't see him becoming a great gk, so better to sell him than let him out on loan.
