We paid a bit more to cut the wages. Who knows the figure still mite not be what we are reading. One thing is for sure, this player isn't a slouch or some scrub nobody knows about. He's promising, he's strong, he can pass and score with his head (hopefully we have the players able to find his head). But anybody talking shit has either not watched him play enough, or just wants to hate since branca has seemed to deserve it alot lately. Lets judge later, I'm confident it won't be a move we regret.

I just don't like the creativity issue we are making worse with getting rid of Cassano. We are low on creative players as it is, and Cassano would be useful coming off the bench at least when opposition inevitably parks the bus... Which will happen for much of the season.

The deal for Belfodil is completed. At least at the level of the clubs. Inter and Parma agreed on everything, and with Ishak Belfodil as well: "The operation between Parma and Inter, however, is resolved. The Emilian club are confident aboit both Cassano and Silvestre," writes Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky.

It's interesting though that Napoli had a first option on Belfodil and decided not to exercise it, I think it basically means that Belfodil was in Mazzarri's plans even at Napoli. So this transfer is us giving the manager what he wants, so we can't really complain (except about the price).

I agree, but in a 352 the creativity should really primarily come from the midfield and the WB's. Cassano doesnt really fit this formation as he doent run or score enough.

We will have a creativity and midfield goalscoring issue regardless if we sell or keep Cassano. A midfield-wingback combination of nagatomo, RB, Kovasic, Guarin and Cambiasso/nainggolan greatly lacks both goal scoring abilty and creativity/assists. Its quite dreadful tbh.

If Mazzarri really think Guarin will be his new "hamsik" at Inter, who will score and assists 10+/10+, then he is in for a massive surprise to say the very least.

Mourinho didnt really bash him for it. He simply pointed out that your body - quite correctly - cant really play 90 minutes of football having not eaten or drunk for say 6-9 hours, and then not being allowed to drink water over the course of the game too. Which is fair enough, right? I mean fuck I can barely run without drinking water like its going out of fashion, no matter how fit you are you cant play for 90 minutes without drinking water and losing a lot of efficiency

The truth is this is only a bad deal depending on the rest of the market if we get isla and naianggolan then I'm OK with this transfer, realistically cassano was not fast enough anymore to play on the counter.

I'm not going to pass any judgement on Belfodil until I've seen him play a bit more, but just to say that it certainly "seems" expensive.
