It says that we save 4 mils in Gross from Silvestre and 5 mils from Cassano. Which makes it 9. So after some calculations, it's like us paying 7.5 for half of the guy, according GDS.

Still too much. I hope he lives up to his hype. At least we will have great young team in FM

We give:
Cassano (no value as an asset in our books despite we paid 7m€ (in books) for him and gave him two-year contract? )
Silvestre (no value as an asset in our books despite we paid 8m€ for him and gave him what 3-4-year contract? )
7,5m€ in cash

We get:
50% of Belfodil
5m€ gross hole in the salary budget from Cassano's departure
4m€ gross hole in the salary budget from Silvestre's departure

So we aren't GETTING any money with those departures, we're just not paying them anymore like happens every time when we lose a player. So we're not basically getting anything from Cassano and Silvestre. Or is that we're basically paying part of their salaries when they play for Parma and THEN we have the privilege to pay 7,5m€ for HALF of Belfodil?

Is this the case?

God knows, its pretty unclear. I only translated what it says :D And no, all reports say we wont be paying Cassanos or Silvestre wages by any means, that's why we are actually offloading them.

So we're paying their wages in that transfer fee. Because it doesn't make any fucking sense to value some Belfodil kid to 15, let alone 20 million euros.

Maybe that's the case, who knows. We get him for "free", but they get them both for free, since we are paying their wages. It does make sense. Kinda like no fee included trade, their wages for half of Belfodil.

But the article doesnt say it that way :D

So

signing Belfodil on a 3 year contract for 7.5m with 2m wages (Gross) gives us a book affect of - 4.5m a season.

Offloading Cassano and Silvestre is a book wage saving of ~+9m a season, so this transaction saves us 4.5m a season in terms of FFP

where it will hurt is the fact that we have to pay for silvestre anyway, and that we will have to write off like 4m in his value at the end of the season which will negate all the savings for next year (if parma take up the option)

Silvestre shit is done deal... I think Parma will have an option to buy for 4 mils or something, we will get some money back. I hope he delivers.

NO NO !!!

It says that half of Belfo will be 7.5 in case that Silvestre rejects Parma. You know: 20 MILION DEAL - 5 MILION OF CASSANO IS 15 = 7,5 MIL FOR A HALF.

If we add Silvestre in that deal than it is 15 mil - 4 mil of Silvestre = 11 milions = 5.5 FOR A HALF.

Solid deal with Silvestre.

The contract was said to be 5-year paper with 800k€ annual salary + bonuses.

Thats what I understood too.

If Silvester refuses to go to Parma the deal would become 7.5 mil instead of 10. So in a way we are paying them to have Silvester lol

He can also play as a second striker, and that is where he will be in Mazzari's 3-5-2.

apparently the new dela is that cassano will sign outright for Parma.

I cant really work out if this is good for us or not. Realistically what it means is that we sign Belfodil for like 12m, and Cassano signs for Parma for 4.5m. If that happens, then we can make a slight net book PROFIT on cassano, as well as offloading his wages. (This is why italian clubs love player exchanges, you can fucking inflate those values as much as you want)

I like how Cassano was used for the 'privilege' of Belfodil. Hopefully, will use Palacio and Milito like that someday too =)

Mertens for 10M, Maher for 7M... I'm not so sure this guy costs 12M, despite all this wage stuff.

Parma are taking advantage of us, just like every other midtable team.

The wage is most important, takes more money in the long term. Belfodil for 20 and wage of 800k is cheaper than let's say Mertens for 10.
