Why not Lucarelli then? I think we can chalk Iaquinta's call-up to Lippi being an idiot. Then again, every coach calls up out-of-form or just not very good players and Lippi certainly could have done worse than Iaquinta (*cough Vieri cough*, who can be useful I suppose.

Goal.com says Italy's 3 players that are going to have the biggest effect on their team are Buffon, Nesta and Toni. I'm just amazed on how Totti isn't in the top 3, IMO he is the difference maker in Italy, Roma wherever he plays.

This WC rests on Totti's shoulders, with an underplaying Totti I don't see how we can win this.
