Lame game by NL today. Perfect game by the Azzurri. Very impressive to watch. Perfect blend of threatening attacks, solid defending and applying some good ole' catenaccio when the situation suits it best. Like WTH Mancio.

NL played nothing like the team that reached the final last year. Not sure if it's the lack of De Vrij, Blind and De Ligt in defence. Or the horrid mistake of starting Hateboer instead of Dumfries. Immobile, Zaniolo and Spinazzola had a field day toying with him until this mistake was rectified. It was disappointing how these things somewhat dumbed down one of the rare occasions my two favorite countries meet. But watching the Azzurri's performance made up for it.
