The new crest is the best change they've made.

As we get set for the Euros this summer, here is the best guess was of what the starting eleven will look like:

Donnarumma
Florenzi - Bonucci - Chiellini - Emerson
Barella - Pellegrini - Verratti
Chiesa - Immobile - Insigne

The positions up for grabs are CM (Jorginho instead of Pellegrini) and RW (Berardi instead of Chiesa). It's actually a pretty good side. The midfield has really come along well from the Ventura and Conte years. I just wish we had a striker who wasn't a complete choke artist.

Why Immobile doesn't work for Italy what's the problem? He scored yesterday after 18 months.

Be interesting to see if mancio played his 4-3-1-2. Italy have the players, take advantage of all the good midfielders. Be interesting to see just. Maybe two strikers would get more from belotti and immobile considering the both play with 2 at their clubs

Spinazzola will start in front of Emerson surely (assuming he hasn't torn his ACL by then).

I tip Jorginho to get the start over Pellegrini.

Berardi might have a shout over Chiesa/ Insigne but probably not.

Not being biased, but Bastoni should surely start in the defense. Chielini and Bonucci were extremely stale when moving the ball up. Insigne is so damn wasteful, honestly its no wonder the guy hasn’t ever taken the next leap.

If I was Mancio, i'd play this team as starting team:

Donnarumma
Florenzi - Acerbi - Bastoni - Spinazzola
Barella - Jorginho - Verratti
Chiesa - Belotti - Insigne

But, not gonna happen. ADrossis team is probably 99% certain, the only two question marks there are Jorginho - Pellegrini and Emerson - Spinazzola.

I'm not entirely convinced Bonucci-Chiellini stay as the starting CB pair tbh

Based on how they have performed this season, Bastoni should be the starter but i wouldn't be surprised if Mancini preferred Chiellini experience at Euro. Personally i would go for this:

Donnarumma
Florenzi - Bonucci - Bastoni/Chiellini - Emerson
Barella - Jorginho - Verratti
Chiesa - Immobile - Insigne

In a back 4 Emerson is a better option than Spinazzola. Spinazzola is great at going forward but he's a defensive liability. You can't play with two attacking fullbacks.

I disagree. Italy squad is perfect for 4-3-3. They don't have the players in attack to play with a diamond. You would have to use one of Insigne, Chiesa and Berardi out of position which makes no sense.

The back 2 is very much up in the air. I could see Mancini opting for the experience of Bonucci-Chielini or Bonucci-Bastoni for their passing range and mobility.

Whats going on with the Azzurrini? I haven't been watching but 2nd consecutive game they go down to 9 men. At this rate, they will run out of players soon.

Sensi starting the game. Thats all I need
Worst Italian player so far I have to admit :palm: He is losing everything made we loved him i.e. agile and explosiveness. He seems lazy, only wandering, no dare making any tackles, even worse, refuse to run into empty space.

Understandable though, he has been injured too much and scared...but that attitude is killing his skills too.

I must agree with that. no impact in the game.

But at least he get those precious 68 minutes playing after many months not play so hopefully he will be (more) ready to fill in as backup in our team. would be nice if het get more minutes even for 10-15 minutes in the next game. If he is not injured by then we could be more optimistic on his legs
