I don't care, no time to wait I'm excited about this coming season already, and what a season it could be.

Serie A is coming back to what it should be, there is now a good number of good to huge clubs, whether you accept them or not they are:

Inter - Mai Stati in B
Milan - CL winners
Juventus - Hungry for revenge on everyone
Roma - Playing nice football
Lazio - Back in Europe
Napoli - Back with the big boys
Genoa - A club with huge history and support
Torino - Hopefully after survival they will rebuild

:wth: Sexy!

FORZA INTER!

Honestly as much as we enjoyed seeing Juve in SERIEB this season, we have to admit, winning SERIEA with Juve in it, is gonna be so much sweeter.

I think it will be a two way race in Milan for the Scudetto, with us having advantage over our evil twins. I see Juve battling for maybe a CL spot, but definetely not the title. And I dont see Roma battling for the title either. They are way too dependent on two or three players, and will need to increase the depth in their squad to have any chance of competing for the Scudetto.
Still its gonna be a great season. Cant wait for it.

It is much, much too early to be giving out predictions since we have yet to see the transfer activities that the clubs will carry out; I'll certainly reserve mine.

And Fabio, you forgot to mention that alt of the Seven Sisters are present too. :interscarf: (Inter, Milan, Juventus, Roma, Lazio, Fiorentina, Parma) I don't know if that term is still used now but it certainly was, when all the 7 clubs were at their peak (end 1990s and early 2000s).

Serie A back on terrestrial TV!
Tuesday 12 June, 2007
Fans in Britain will be able to see Serie A action on terrestrial television next season after Channel Five picked up the TV rights.

Reports in Italy made the claim this morning and the news seems to have been confirmed this afternoon.

Production will be carried out by Sunset+Vine, a subsidiary of Tinopolis, who already provide Five with their cricket package.

Ron Jones, the executive chairman of Tinopolis, said: "The main deal is for a highlights programme – although Five do have the rights for live matches as well.”

Serie A football was first shown on UK television in 1992 when Channel 4 made their move following Paul Gascoigne’s switch to Lazio.

The coverage moved to British Eurosport in 2002, before Bravo and Setanta agreed a joint deal in 2005.

Bravo dropped their coverage at the end of 2006, though, due to a lack of decent audience figures.

I don't have any idea what terrestrial means (E.T., anyone) but it sounds like good news for UK Serie A fans. Another good thing to come out of the tragedy in Athens.

First time in a long time that we are starting Serie A with a solid winning mentality. Should prove to be very interesting.

Juventus 07-08 Miccoli-Iaquinta up front?

No such thing as 7 Sisters anymore really. It's Inter, Bilan, RuBe (can be replaced my Roma at the moment) and then everyone else. The other teams just don't have the financial power to match the Big Three and contend for the scudetto but they can make it alot more competitive.

Anyways, I can't ****ing wait for next season. I wish it would start tomorrow. Think about it, there's gonna be a big game pretty much every weekend and I'm not even including our games:

Genoa vs Sampdoria
Napoli vs Everyone (Their passionate support makes every game seem like a big one)
Juventus vs Everyone
Torino vs Juventus
Catania vs Palermo (For the pride of Sicily now that Messina is gone. Should be heated once again)

etc etc....

Honestly, I'm drooling over next season and the mercato hasn't even started. Could be one the best seasons in recent history and could put Serie A back in the football spotlight where it belongs

Terrestrial is satelite tv.

Here's some info for all of us who get our serie a fix from rai international and tln. Having read a season back or soo that rai actually lost the rights for season 2007/2008 it seems they have managed to get the rights back.

Terrestrial tv is any channel thats not satellite based, ie BBC, ITV etc. and can be received with a regular aerial on the house.

Ok my bad. Must have mixed the 2 up.:(

Serpico your right mate, Ricardson and Marcotti would be so unbelievable. It would get more ratings than MOTD. Anything is better than Mark Hatley and Morcotti is a friggin genious

JuBe will be beaten up for 2 years at least. Look forward for the next few games really.

And with so many great games coming, I guess I will get myself a train bonus programme or something. It's around 40-50 Euros to Italy with a lot of luck by train, 20 Euros more for tickets...damn..can't wait for Serie A to start.

The C5 announcement is certainly a good one. That said so far they have only confirmed an extended highlight programme while having the rights to send Live matches. Surely they will take advantage of that and I’m sure with a bit of brain they will pursue James to host the show. So all in all with Genoa and Napoli up where they belong we should be in for a hell of a season. Let’s hope for “another” unusual transfer window where wee can capture those players needed asap so that we can plan ahead in the best possible way. Don’t want to see any last minute big name departures/arrivals as it seemed to be the norm in previous years.

Hateley is bloody awful. The only man to make a 4-4 draw sound like a funeral on wet Monday.

Ok my bad. Must have mixed the 2 up.:(

Hahaha. Dont worry mate, I aint no aerials expert either!!

I hope Delio Rossi can improve the Lazio squad over the summer. With reports that we will buy a South American goalkeeper, Diego or Carrizzo. Also suggestions of Bianchi, Ederson, Barzagli but who knows. All I care about is that we are in the Champions League. It would be sweet to get further than Riomma

Yup, Timo, the next league season in Italy will be great. In the next 2 years if everything goes right, calcio can be back at being the best and toughest European league.
