Stars are coming back to the Serie A: with Mandzukic and Kondogbia coming in early on and Milan have a lot to spend. It's going to be an interesting season.

classic italian football. you can try to take the garbage away from the dumpster but you cant take the dumpster away from the garbage.

wasnt there just a massive scandal in the lower divisions too? the whole system is broken.

It’s not like this only happens in Italy. Match fixing happens everywhere, even in Sweden there’s been recent cases. Especially in the lower divisions I can guarantee that this is a widespread problem all over the world, and people who act like this only occurs in Italy need a reality check. At least in Italy they acknowledge the problem and are hard at work against it. Wouldn't surprise me the slightest if match fixing is just as common in for example Sweden where Asian criminal groups can buy matches left and right with everyone too naive to suspect a thing. It's always sad to get news like this, but again, at least they are doing extensive work against it in Italy, which to be fair is more than you can say about most other countries.

Match fixing is prevalent everywhere, but Italy is the only one not turning a blind eye. MSM assumes because the rest of the world sweeps it up under the rug, it means they're clean.

I'd be curious to see how prevelant it is in other big leagues and their subsidiaries. Idk I find it hard to believe that it'd be worse in countries like England, Spain, France, Holland. But I haven't done my research so I'm not sure

you can try to take the garbage away from the dumpster but you cant take the dumpster away from the garbage.

 sometimes in my posts there is a line or two that is completely out of place and makes little sense. this has got to be one of those moments. i was trying to use an analogy to say how matchfixing and corruption is a part of the nature of italian football but it didnt come off well at all.

i remember the same line said by Billie Joe from Green Day. it was when they rose to spotlight as punk band and got bombarded for selling punk. he says : " you can take Green Day out of punk, but you cant take punk out of Green Day ".

Agreement for Berardi is reached: Sassuolo will redeem him, but he’ll join Juventus next season
Juventus and Sassuolo have reached an agreement for Domenico Berardi. The two clubs co own the player, to avoid adding another expenditure to Juventus' balance sheet, Sassuolo will redeem the bianconeri's rights to the player, but Juventus will have a buy back option expected to be set at €18 million. In essence Berardi is already controlled by Juventus who will leave him at Sassuolo so he can play, before formally owning him next season. Berardi's arrival in Turin is delayed by one year, next season he'll continue to play for Di Francesco.

On a serious note, what are the chances of us scooping Berardi before Rube activates the buy-back clause.

Fuck their buy-back option. I hope we can somehow steal him in front of their noses.

*looks at name*
If we were to buy Berardi (even though it's extremely unlikely that Juve will sell him to us) it would prolly be for like €35m.

Overpaying will be the answer. Dump them 20-25m + a player. Win-win for us and sas, fuck juve.
