They played generally better without him last season. Their problem is Stuaro who should be nothing more than a solid squad player and Hernanes who doesn't work nearly as hard off the ball, or without the ball as Vidal did. They might get better once Pogba comes on

Although, Chievo are a very organised team. They were the same way last season too but this season they're scoring more.
