We are winter champion almost every year. Does this count at the end of the season? Milan are quite lucky to get everything in their favor so far. Didn't watch Sapm game but against Fiorentina they were totally outplayed till one corner and awful defending from Fiora. Even with a goal down, Fiorentina played better but their shit defense failed them.
Milan's luck will end at some point and they will have to fight to get points and let's see how they will react then.

I watched the first half and Sampdoria was fucking horrible. At least based on the first half, deserved victory for Milan.

I wouldn't be too worried about Milan. If they are winter champions I might to start worrying.

Btw, last time Inter were winter champions was in the season 09/10.

We're more frequently than not contenders for the winter trophy but we even choke when it comes to that.

I'll start believing in AC Milan when they beat Juve.

As long Milan playing Europa League, there is no chance with this roster they can win Scudetto.

I'll be surprised if any team can win the scudetto with a rooster

How they play is more important than with what roster they play. If Inter and Juve keep fucking up, they might amass a lead large enough to sustain the race to the title.

Underdogs and all that jazz.

Winter championship doesn't matter. We just have to stay close until February/ March and then it's anyone's contest.

I'll give Milan and Pioli a lot of props. I keep expecting them to drop points and they keep winning. Right now they're playing as a team and have a lot of belief; it's a dangerous combination.

But will they be able to put together a 90 point season? Because I feel like that's what it's going to take. If they can, credit to them.

Just for context..the average age of the starting eleven against Sampdoria was 22.

This team still has a long way to go, and considering the young age, plentybof potential to improve.

I'm quite happy with the way Management has handled the squad building. Gazidis himself had said that they didnt even account for a top4 finish this season let alone a Scudetto run, but the squad keep defying expectations.

Its funny tho how you guys keep downplaying Milan by claiming they are only first because Juve and Inter have been shit. I mean, we have won 8 out of the 10 games we have played so far and unbeaten. Sure, Juve and Inter havent been good, but Milan arent top because they have been shit.

We may not win the scudetto (still a long way to go to determine that), but top 4 is very achievable. And thats completely fine considering that still remains our primary objective.

This Milan is just one injury to Ibra, Bennacer or Kjaer away from relegation.
Who have they beaten so far? Spezia and Crotone. People are getting carried away by 3 games!
Milan does not have the depth for Top 4 let alone Scudetto.

Inter and napoli? Same as spezia and crotone ur right

Milenkovic scores in the 98th minute to rescue a point against Genoa..

Since Prandelli's return, Fiorentina have lost at home to Benevento, won a Coppa match vs Udinese, lost to Milan and scraped a last-grasp draw at home to Genoa. Cunt wont last 10 games IMO.

Also, I think Commisso has no idea what he's doing. I think he's just buying and hiring to appease the fans more than build on any sound strategy. I mean seriously, Iachini? Prandelli? A year down the drain.

They shouldn’t be fighting relegation with the players they have. Prandelli was good a decade ago with the Viola but times have changed quite a bit in football since then.

I'm not sure I agree. Fiorentina's squad looks extremely mediocre to me. Not relegation worthy, but definitely not top half of the table good.

Commiso needs to find some clever ways to inject capital into the squad. He's the richest owner in the league. The fact he can't go out and buy quality players is maddening.

If he knew what he was doing, he would have sold Chiesa for a small fortune and used the proceeds to go on a spending spree. Instead, he decided to gift wrap the player to Juventus and replace him with *checks notes" Bonaventura and Callejon

Surely that can't be right?

Agreed about the rest though I do think they have a semi-decent core with Dragowski, Milenkovic, Lirola, Biraghi, Pulgar etc. That said, a lot of their yet-to-be-established talents like Kouame and Vlahovic are really going to struggle in this environment. Castrovilli too.

They already did beat Sarri’s Juve last year though

Came from 2 goals down to win 4-2. Meanwhile, with the exception of Lautaro's penalty, we probably had zero shots on target over 180 minutes against juve.

It gets tricky when you consider that Milan are owned by a hedge fund, for instance. Most reports I've seen have him easily within the 3 richest in the league with Zhang and Agnelli.

Money isn't the problem at Fiorentina. They have spent almost 90m in the last two seasons. The problem is they have no direction as a club. That's the core of the problem. Everything else is a result of that. The first thing Commiso needs to do is fire Daniele Prade.
