The problem is not about athletic coaches, but shitty squad depth. Injuries will happen sooner or later if you keep the same lineup for consecutive matches, every three days. Pioli can't rotate because there is a huge gap between their starters and backups.

The same happened a year ago. Milan was in a hot winning streak too, until Europa League fixtures started to crumble their starting XI. Fortunately, Milan had tons of pens saved their season.

This year I expected a worse outcome, as Champions League intensity is another beast comparing to EL.
