From next season on, Serie A will adopt the Premier League format in which the order of the matches in the second half will not follow the same order as the first half; instead, a new draw will be made (the only criterion is that there must be at least 8 rounds between the same match, i.e. if AxB happens in round 19, BxA can't happen until round 28).

Ridiculous and unnecessary change IMO.

Probably trying their best to emulate the success of the English Premier League, but they're trying to do it by copying the small inconsequential shit that's easy to implement, like the uniform captain's armband, or the font on shirts being the same for all teams.
