I was depressed more when we opted for Sensi instead of Tonali than the moment we lost Hakimi and trust me, this kid is gonna fuck us hard in the next decade.
Thank Sunning for that. Its what it is.

Both of the goals Atalanta gave up were embarrassing. However Milan has looked dangerous on every counter attack. It’s amazing what a little speed and dribbling ability can do for a team. The early goal set this up perfectly for them. Atalanta still probably should have tied things up but they weren’t clinical. Milan also isn’t going to allow Malinovsky to shoot without pressure.

at this level, i've got to say Pioli manages his display better than Inzaghi. their transition to defense or attack looks quite tidy. some nice player's movement and quick passing.

Milan is very strong. Impressive results @atalanta, @Juventus @sampdoria vs lazio. Difficult grounds. They lead by 2pts , Napoli 4pts and we'll play Lazio, Rube next.

We need our players to be fit. Sanchez, Sensi not injured! Vidal in top shape. Otherwise it will slip away. We cannot grind our wins every matchday. Its impossible.

As soon as Milan were in for him we had no chance. Same way Milan had no chance for Barella.

That wasn't the case. Marotta had Tonali wrapped up and ready to be delivered for 20 million, right at the same time when Inter's financial problems were piling up so we had to choose between Sensi and Tonali, you know how that went.
The shit gave me Nesta/Gamarra backflashes instantly, still can't get over it to this day.

Source?

as far as I'm aware publicly, we were looking 'likely' to sign Tonali from ~Jan 2020, but then COVID hit and ruined our plans, at which point Milan started to really go after him and we had no chance from there.

RE Sensi, we had a gentleman's agreement - one that, if we violated, we'd never sign another player on a gentleman's agreement. If someone had offered 20m for Sensi and we turned iti down in favour of keeping him and losing Tonali, then perhaps, but AFAIK no offer ever landed.

Pioli get two years, when Inzaghi just meet our team few months ago. Of course he is better.

Both Pioli and Spalletti had better records than Inzaghi, let alone Conte. But fifers now ofc must bias toward the former Lazio coach because he is our current coach.

Take off Inter glasses then you (not you, morrisama) could see it as clear as day.

It was never between Sensi and Tonali. We had already wrapped up deals for Tonali and Kumbulla but then Suning had financial problems and they stopped everything. Instead we signed Vidal for free and Kolarov for 1m.

Indeed. We werent pursuing Tonali when we first signed Sensi. There was no point, as far as I know, there was a decision between Sensi and Tonali.

Honestly starting to get concerned about this Milan team, I've just got that feeling that the might come out on top this season. Really hope I'm wrong tho

Sad to hear this, but Napoli have Anguissa, Milan have Tonali, when we have Hakan.

Hakan was underperform so far, looks like our new signing this season is Vidal.

Sensi was brought on loan in 2019 and he was redeemed in 2020. That was the gentlemen agreement with Sassuolo so there was not a decision for Sensi signing anymore, that was done year ago.

It was between Tonali and Vidal and I think it was important we don't have to actually pay that much. Milan paid like 10m€ for the loan and we paid like 1m€ for Vidal. Salaries are at different level but they can be deferred like we famously did a lot last season. We simply didn't have the cash anymore (and suddenly) to be used.

Napoli is definitely a contender, and better than us at this point. Serie A seems the most competitive it's ever been. Mostly because we have no real Top 5 European team, but the CL spots are hotly contested.

on top of that Vidal was more ready for 1st team than Tonali, I think it was Conte’s priority, he couldn’t wait another years for development. Tonali is OK but I still think he’s kind of Montolivo player.
