Inter comes first even if that means a gobbi win. a Gobbi win is better for Inter at this moment in time
At the moment the gobbi are still in the race.
We have a tough schedule and obvious roster deficiencies (striker department and lack of midfield depth) so the 12 point cushion isn't enough as we could end up with 5 points in February out of a possible 15 if things go bad.
It's also far better for our long term situation to see Juventus miss out on Champions League. That would destroy them, whereas us not winning the league - as painful as that may be for a couple of months - won't do as much damage. But we have the chance to both win the league and see the gobbi out of the CL race.
Fiorentina and Lazio failing to win was a blow to this. Roma probably won't win either. This means that Juventus is simply chasing a top 4 spot (or better) without the pressure of ending up 8th if they slip up. And it makes them more dangerous to us.
They play like shit but if they can secure a win today it means they can also secure wins in most games. They've only dropped points in 10 games and there's 18 to go.
They've already faced Roma home and away, they faced Napoli both home and away, they'll have faced Milan home and away and their only dangerous outings will be at Bergamo. They have not lost a game since 30th of November excluding the Supercoppa derby, whereas Milan is shaky. They get to play both us and Lazio at home. They have a very easy schedule. Under Allegri and with the refs clearly benefitting them, they've done this kind of runs again. They can finish off the season by dropping just 4 points and come up victorious. Don't underestimate them and their influence.
And I see no reason why you overestimate this Milan team. All we have to do is beat them in 2 weeks, been there done that.
