It does not matter. There is no way we are going to win this Championship.

The last 15 minutes of the Derby and not being able to beat Genoa, Fiorentina and and losing our game in hand are where this Championship was lost.
And losing to that comical squad of Sassuolo, bunch of clowns. They beat us on our turf. We dont deserve scudetto,Bbeelan do. The end.

I don't know about our depth fuckin us this season. Milan had a thinner squad, and they had much more problems with injuries this season than we did.

We just lost points in crucial moments of the season, we shot ourselves in the foot during the summer, we lost a world-class coaching team which controlled a lot of our players and i m not meaning just conte but everyone in that package with him, pintus first comes to mind and, most importantly we gave milan hope they can do it by letting them being better this season in h2h duels.

In past seasons, we completely crushed them in h2h and that's where their season usually went to shit... so it was a perfect shitstorm of everything...
If only inzaghi didnt fuck up his subs in the last 20 minutes of derby smh

you guys forget that milan had no trophies, while inter had 2 games against liver, in a very difficult month where we basically played every 3 days... i almost regret that we passed the group stage. Last season we were crap in Europe but at least we won the scudetto.

It was not just the subs. Our whole mentality was wrong. We thought the game was won and played accordingly. They turned the table on us. I doubt that would have happened with Conte.

No way that would happen with Cunte. See that match against Dortmund away. No way.

That's a valid point but that is where the club needed to prioritise the competitions we were playing.

Let's be honest, Inter fell in love with the romance of playing against Liverpool at Anfield and went there to get a result that did not mean anything but had big implications for our season. At that stage of the season, the team had very little in the tank. We should have played our non-starters as the starting eleven was mostly burnt out at that stage of the season.

It is sad how the challenge of playing against a Premier League team actually stimulated us but yet we could not get our shit together against Milan in the Derby, Genoa, Fiorentina, Sassuolo and Bologna to push for the Championship.

Yeah, but I don't think it's helpful or correct to just point at one thing or one moment, as i v said, it's a fuckin shitstorm at least when it comes to on the pitch reasons why we lost it. But at the end of the day it all steams from suning inability to keep this club on a certain level, so if we want to point fingers that's the only fair place to point it imo.

And also if milan wins it, with their transfer policy and salary caps, that will be a straight spit in the suning face which as we can see in present, sacrificed our future to win it last year. If I was maldini or eliott I would be laughing my ass off, they will most probably get the same highest goal but much more organically and with much less pain than we did.

And to top it off, they will have new owners to take them into the future while we remain stuck in reverse with Suning.

It will be even more painful if they draw vs Atalanta next week and they get the title with even points. All our fuck ups would be 100 times more unbearable.. the derby and stupid Sanchez who lost the ball due to selfishness in the middle of the fucking pitch (not to mention that was probably a foul, but we are Inter). And the Bologna game, which we tried to appeal for gazillionth time and then we fucking lost.
Forza Atalanta, fucking win!!!

Atalanta will do the magic for us. i get the feeling that Gasperini would push his boys to win it.

Vex made a good point. It all falls back on Suning.

They underestimated the changes that were made to the squad in the summer: Conte walking, Hakimi and Lukaku being sold and Eriksen unable to play for us. Alternatively, they understood and simply did not want to reinvest to reinforce the squad because of their finances. Or maybe it was a bit of both.

I think they felt the changes that were made were relatively minor. Replace Conte with a 3-5-2 tactician, Dumfies for Hakimi and Dzeko and Correa for Lukaku and it was all fixed: we would still defend the Championship we won last season. More than anything it shows how little they understand and know about football and how their lack of investment has hurt the club.

What has happened this season is unsustainable. We have played a full season relying on 14 or so core players (Handanovic, Skriniar, De Vrij, Bastoni, Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Brozovic, Perisic, Martinez, Dzeko, Darmian, Dimarco, Vidal) with a squad that is so pitiful that the likes of Dzeko, Barella, Calhanoglu and Brozovic can not be rested without the team suffering a significant dip in performance.

And apparently, we need another 70 million in sales this summer. It is only going to get worse because with each sale the squad gets weakened and the replacements are by no means up to standard.

Atalanta and Sassuolo for Milan.
Cagliari and Sampdoria for us.

On paper, it looks more likely for Milan to drop points.
But knowing our recent choking nature, I wouldn't be surprised if Milan won both their games and we drew both ours though.

If Milan win the league they will have deserved it.

They are a worse side than us yet despite numerous injuries to key players, they have consistently performed above their level, even if the football is hardly excellent to watch. Meanwhile, despite having a better squad, a coach with a higher ceiling and being comparatively injury free, we have arguably underperformed.

The bitter pill to swallow is not that Milan has done so well, it's that we were not able to do better than that group of mediocre shittards. When you're outperformed by someone less equipped than you, you only have yourself to blame.

If Milan wins the Scudetto it certainly won’t be because they have the most quality in the league. However I think there is something to learn in how they built their squad. They are winning so many of these games by just being more athletic. They are the most athletic team in this league and they have it in key positions. Particularly central defense and through Leao.

Tomori and Kalulu are great talents but they’re not world class defenders. However, they look world class week in and week out in Serie A because in this league they don’t come up against players that are as quick or as strong as them very often. I know we all hate the farmers league tag that EPL fans put on leagues like Serie A, however we have to be honest, this league as a whole severely lacks athleticism. That’s why Lukaku looked like a cheat code at times last year. I mean when you’re getting chased down by a 36 year old Marco Parolo you’re going to look like Usain Bolt. In this league at the moment a little bit of pace goes a long way. Something we and every team in this league should take notice of.

Now with that being said Milan do have a world class talent and that’s Rafael Leao. That guy has a skill set nobody else in the league has. The combination of skill, creativity, pace, and size is extremely rare. Milan would do well to hold onto him. If you’re a Milan fan you have to be excited at what he could do when his partners aren’t Giroud and Saelemakers.

Milan winning the Scudetto should be a reminder to naysayers who claim you can't be competitive and win titles with such a salary cap and young set of players.

Remember Tonali was almost an Inter player before the board decided to go for his grandpa Vidal instead in the last minute? Now look at the impact Tonali have and compare it to our NOT-super-sub Vidal!

IMO our old slow squad plus lack of depth were two of the main reasons we failed to keep up. Suning should be the first to take the blame for this situation.

Let's remain hopeful Atalanta and Sassulo save the season for us, even though I find it unlikely any of them can beat this Milan.
