Forza atalanta I guess. I'm hopeful they can get a result. Thankfully they really need one. If milan beat atalanta it's over. Sassuolo ain't doing shit. Their chairmen is a massive milan fan and will probably tell them to lie down as its a nothing game for them

They are not close, its over. No fkn way they cant get 4 pts against Atalanta and Sassuolo. See what happened yesterday against Verona. Easy win. No trouble at all, while we were squeezing our balls against fkn Empoli.Ma pušiona stari.
I still hold on to Pioli choking this, have to believe. Expecting nothing, hoping for something.

Unfortunately it looks like Pioli found the winner in himself, finally. Hard to see some unbelievable choking anymore at this point. They would indeed have to LOSE a game or draw both games. Atalanta is our only credible shot and we need to hope they turn on this Sunday.

We lost the scudetto only because too many specific players and inzaghi individuals fuckups, inzaghi with his stupid and late subs, handa concede amateur goals, alexis at the derby and ofc the best one is radu..
I find it kinda ironic, because almost every individual player of ours is better than bbilan players..

I don’t know man we lost 4 times that’s pretty fucking impressive

We also got Ko’d by the team that’s going to win champions league. We didn’t have our best player at home and shit our pants but won in England.

Sucks our head to head vs Milan is bad that’s why we need more points. Milan has just been really awesome this season.

We have 47 goals+ this year. 10 more than Napoli at #2. Team has scored 78 times!!

Tied with Napoli and Milan with 31 goals against.

Not sure what you guys want or expect this isn’t fking fifa!

I mean Forza Zapata and Atlanta to beat them it’s really our only hope. They had a much more difficult end of season but we really fkd ourselves by playing Radu

Yea only 4 losses could be really impressive, but when you see 2 of those 4 losses are in our most crucial matches of the season is not impressive at all for me..
I do not expect players or our coach do godly things, just proper use of their brain in some situations , i dont think this is too much to expect...

i believe the new owner of Atalanta would want a EL spot. being in European competitions in last few years might be growing in their players as new culture and identity. there's no reason for Gasperini to throw it away.

As for Sassuolo fixture, it will take a collosal choke by Milan to lose it which is very unlikely.

But in general, Milan deserve more for Scudetto due to their consistency. Our braindead performance in some winnable games in really crucial moment is the sources of our failure.

at least, it is not Rube who win the league.

Problem is that Bbeelan will also turn on big time for this one. It sucks really that fkn draw doesnt mean too much. I have zero hope for fkn Sassuolo.

For Atalanta to beat Milan they need to do two things right:
1. Stop giving Leao all the space and freedom in the world.
2. Avoid individual fuck ups in the dying minutes of each half.

Sorry but losing your title to this fucking Milan is a big failure.

I know that Inzaghi should’ve done better, but I think mainly the Hakimi-Lukaku situation has gone so bad that it massively downgraded us to this level. Also trying to make up for that with choices like Dzeko and Correa wasn’t enough. The difference is just huge.

Also lack of any decent replacement for our midfield trio fuck us. Vidal was nonexistential. But fkn Bbeelan had same, even worse problems this season with all their injuries, but they'll made it. So Inzaghi is also to blame here, he should've handle better that February March fiasco. Pioli handled similiar situation much better, but I think it was more Ibra than Pioli who galvanize his team mates when they were in mini crisis. Also there is a luck factor that gone on their side in both derbies plus that epic fuck up against Bologna.

Before the season if it was said we would fight for the title in the round 38, win Super Coppa, be in Coppa final (maybe even win) and be in CL knockouts after 11 years, I think almost everyone would have taken that. Then what happened during the season is a different thing. We should have won because Juve suicided themselves at the start of the season.

But, we need to acknowledge Milan has been a lot stronger than anticipated before the season. So as the odds favoured Juve over Inter before the season, things changed. Things changed also regarding Milan ie. Pioli found a way to simply keep winning games despite playing quite terribly.

We can't always just look what we should have done and how we have failed. There are other teams too, doing their things. Doing better or worse than originally anticipated. Milan have definitely done lot better than initially anticipated. IMO even we did better, than expected I def did not expect Dzeko to score so many goals and basically being our best player when Christmas time arrived. But all this just wasn't enough, most probably, for the Scudetto. That is sports. It's not the end of the world.

This. At the start of the season, given the sale of Hakimi/Lukaku, we would have loved to be in the position we are now.

The manner in which we arrived here has been a bit disappointing obviously - e.g. how close we came to doing better, but overall, its still a success. For me there are strill some questyions about Inzaghi, but I'm hopeful that a couple of personnel changes can help us a lot with being better next year

you guys forget that milan had no trophies, while inter had 2 games against liver, in a very difficult month where we basically played every 3 days... i almost regret that we passed the group stage. Last season we were crap in Europe but at least we won the scudetto.
The Liverpool factor has been underestimated by many. Personally i don't regret it because we had to make the next step in Europe for many reasons. But those matches left a mental impact to the team.

Everyone focuses on the match against Milan but the thing is team reacted after that match. Win against Roma in Coppa and a draw at San Paolo which has been a traditionally tough fixture for us. Then we had a very good performance against Liverpool but in the end it amounted to nothing.

The loss and especially the way it happened left scars to the team. And then the true capitulation started. Loss at Meazza against Sassuolo and a goalless draw at Genoa. Pathetic for a team that wants to win Scudetto. We got then confidence wins against Salernitana and Liverpool but Brozovic injury, another decisive factor, really deteriorated our chances. Inter are a different team with Brozo in the starting lineup. We needed Milan's fuckups against Udinese, Spezia and Bologna to remain in the mix for Scudetto.

The match at Bologna was just the nail in the coffin in a very poor second round. Completely wrong approach from everyone after Perisic goal. In a must win game we failed to play like champions. And in the end we get what we deserved. Close but not close enough.

Yeah. More than one Radu fuckup, it was the packed schedule around and between those extra CL matches which killed us. Add Super Coppa and we had 3 extra games compared to Milan in winter. Doesn't sound like a lot, but it definitely is.

What we got from this is yet another experience to the squad, what it takes to win when you are in several competitions simultaneously. Last year they learned how to win, this year they experienced how it is when you have many games packed and you need to keep performing.

But might be more for the coaching side but also players can learn from this experience, learn to handle it mentally. After all, this team has not been in European competitions while chasing titles.

If Milan wins this season, it's two times in a row team without Euro games wins the title.

Funnily enough there are slim chances still. Five thirty gives us 21%. Atalanta won't make it to CL this year, but they are still 3rd away team on results, ahead of us. Zapata, Muriel will be back for the game. Even a draw pushes Milan for an obligation to win vs Sassuolo . There are 2 Interisti forwards in Sassuolo. If the stars align , we could still have a shot. But please, lets not hype any Atalanta or Sassuolo strikers this week.

2 Interisti forwards in Sassuolo did their job already. For Bbeelan.

This I disagree with. Even if they do not win the league, this is an immensely successful season for Milan. Part of what makes Milan's success so annoying is however, is that by all rights, it shouldn't have worked - and knowing our luck, there's no chance it'd work for us.

  • 9 times out of 10, when you lose a generational talent and national team keeper like Donnarumma, that too for free, you struggle to replace him. Milan not only replaced him but arguably improved on him with Maignan for just €15m. This is generally not how it goes. Imagine us replacing prime Handanovic for some loser like Cragno - do you think we wouldn't feel Handanovic's absence?

  • 9 times out of 10, when you lose a starting midfielder for free and you don't properly replace him, you struggle. Yet despite missing Calhanoglu and having an absolute bum "replacement" in Brahim Diaz, Milan have managed to win without Calhanoglu's G + A contribution

  • 9 times out of 10, when both your starting striker and backup striker are simultaneously injured, you struggle to score goals. Yet despite missing both Ibra and Giroud, often at the same time (Rebic too), Milan still managed to keep winning games

  • 9 times out of 10, when you lose your starting CB for the season with an ACL injury, your defence struggles, not to mention when your other starter is simultaneously injured. Yet Milan managed to win games, including the derby, with a backline of fucking Kalulu - Romagnoli. Again, this is not how this kind of thing goes

  • Speaking of Kalulu, 9 times out of 10, replacing your starting CB with some unknown RB bought from France for €1m does not work. Yet Milan have found an extremely reliable player in Kalulu for extremely cheap and they have not missed Kjaer at all. That generally does not happen either. Imagine that Handanovic and Radu both got injured and we had to play fucking Gabriel Brazao who performed out of his skin? Unimaginable

My point is that 9 times out of 10, the situations that Milan have faced don't end up the way they have ended up for Milan. When you downsize your squad, replace them with players of lesser repute, you do NOT end up competing, let alone winning the league.

Sure, they've had some luck with external factors, namely Suning's self-amputation of our squad, plus juve's transition period. But what Pioli has done is nothing short of miraculous. I am impressed as I am bemused by the whole thing.
This is one of the most reasonable and well considered posts I've read in FIF or in RnB and I really respect your ability to be objective. Being a Milan I am also amazed at our resilience with everything that you have stated. This isn't luck, it is an absolute team effort all engineered by Pioli, Ibra and Maldini. Mind you I the league isn't over, we've got two of the most difficult games imaginable to bring it home but somehow I take solace in that. Had it been two whipping boy clubs I'd be more concerned. Having said that anything is possible and Inter are still very much in the hunt and whatever happens they deserve all the credit in the world for making this race so exciting week in week out. I hate Inter but I genuinely respect the club. Even if Milan loses the race I'd prefer Inter to win instead of Juve.

I agree its a team effort but both league games against Inter you were extremly lucky you should lose both games but thats football, you scored your chances Inter not. You deserve this title but it was thanks to Inter fuckups more than your effort. Inter shot themselves and thats why they lost this. Congrats.
