We bought Coutinho, Kovačić, Icardi, Belfodil, Brozović, Juan Jesus, Taider, Skriniar, Hakimi, Bellanova, Sensi, Martinez, Asllani and bunch of other U23 talent. I believe our "scouts" are doing a good enough job, otherwise we'd be totally fucked by now. A lot of these players were at least sold at a profit, if not being here anymore. Sure, some, like Skriniar and Hakimi, weren't really unknown and big risks, but the fact remain I wouldn't be too mad at our scouts and Ausillio. We'd be even worse without all those transfers, even the ones that absolutely didn't work out for us (Belfodil, Taider,..)

It is not the scouting's fault Inter has money issues. Some great players are skipped because we don't play a certain formation and also some players are skipped because the coaches have their own ideas or ex players they want to use. As far getting the right players for the system, we've come a long way from where we were 10 years ago.

Maybe that's exactly the problem. We don't have any particular philosophy or anything,just living from season to season. You can be good like that but probably never great. Or once in 50 years.

Lack of money is massive problem only cause we usually don't know to find gems for cheap like some are doing so we need big money to target "proven players" we only know to target.

They were desperate. They gave up on Sarri too soon, Pirlo experiment didn't work and they badly needed to go back to winning ways. Agnelli still thought the problem was the coach and not the squad so they went for the only top coach who was available and willing to join. Allegri used Real's offer and contacts with Marotta as leverage and that's how he got the rich contract from Agnelli.

We really dodged the bullet here even if I think Allegri would have been better at Inter than what he's doing at Juve (commenting this in hindsight).

They will of course be better when they have Pogba and Chiesa back, but it's about defending and then letting few indiviuals do their stuff up front. It's up to Allegri to get the whole thing working correctly in defence phase.
