We create chances based on our type of game we play. But the idea of saying that we don't create enough chances is just not true. We are quite a competitive team compared to others except Napoli. The latter ones were a true machine last season for most part of it but however it's gonna be a different situation this season. From these opening matches of season, we look more matured and composured compared to how we neglected those kind of matches last season.

There's a bunch of matches where we dropped points but still dominated most out of it and created gazillion chances but we were not clinical to bury them.

I'm not going further on this. Not gonna debate over something which is way too obvious :lol.

I thought Napoli were gonna run them over in the first 10 minutes. Typical Lazio/Sarri side though. They soak up pressure, hold on and hit hard on the counter. Massive win for them.

Scamacca good performance too. You can say what you want about him but fuck he has a cannon. Even on his weaker left foot. Good header too. What could’ve been but alas

Its a little worrying to see us having 40 attempts in these 2 matches to end up only 6 on target. BUT. We have plenty of changes in the team and its only a start. If Thuram , Sanchez and Arna settles, they will start converting their chances too. Its important to take the burden off Lauti, because he has been the man right now. Pioli right now is thinking: just double mark Lautaro, he's the only danger atm!

Intenational break to get Pavard settled, get Acerbi back that is the most key element for us. Giroud is in great shape right now, I wouldnt want to see DeVrij marking him again. This bearded frenchman needs to be shut down completely and only Acerbi is capable for that.

It's clear we are building a team with lower wages, not building a world class team. Kamada was my top 3 pick for the summer and my top1 "free" transfer pick. The dribbles, the vision, the finishing, can play multiple positions,..

I think the Kamada deal was also related to the Samardzic deal. We were keen on the latter so we put all our efforts into signing him. Kamada could remain an option if he was club free when the Samardzic deal collapsed.

They are still strong offensively but defense win leagues. Plus they will miss their most important offensive player for a month. Osimhen will be at AFCON in Jan.
