Just checked fixtures for the upcoming matches, and honestly we have a relatively easy schedule until we meet gobbi.
Roma might bounce back, but so far they have been pathetic, and Atalanta has been poor as well.
You never know in football, but we need to take every advantage out of these "easier" matches.
Empoli, Sassuolo, Salernitana, Bologna, Torino, Roma, Atalanta, Frosinone and gobbi then.
So considering our squad depth and quality, we should be able to defeat those, also counting on a rather easier group in CL compared to earlier season.
Of course this is easier said than done, but this season we have luxury to rotate enough and remain competitive in all competitions. Most importantly we shouldn't neglect these matches in the league if we want to get that second star.
I have so much faith in this team. Situation is looking promising.
To piggyback on this post, here's a particularly sticky part of our schedule:
Nov. 26: @ Juventus
Nov. 29: @ Benfica (group stage MD5)
Dec. 3: @ Napoli
Three straight away games in the space of eight days. In both the league and the CL group stage, we need to bank as many points as we can because there's definitely going to be some points dropped during that time span. But you are right, we have opportunities to pile up the points in the meantime in the league before then.
