Juve'll be our biggest threat and 'll go 2 points ahead.

Unlike Milan, whom just buy a lot of mediocre all over the place just because they are bargains, Juve plans make so much sense. They focus on the best options possible on their major weaknesses. Best Serie A coach, best SA goalkeeper, swap the whole midfield and wingers. Let alone the talented youths.

It might or might not work. But would be surprise if Motta will do worse at Juve than at Bologna when get the full support 150m investment from the management.

What you wrote, it makes sense on paper but it's differs a lot from the pitch. Motta outplayed himself in term of coaching while he was in Bologna. Nobody expected him to pull a miracle and achieve CL football with Bologna, while on gobbi, he might have money to spend but the pressure and expectations are way higher, which means the chance of failure is greater than it was in Bologna.

Gobbi will demand trophies although they will give time to Motta, but regardless, it's not going to be easy. Allegri has left a quite high standard on their club with all these trophies and everything. I mean, 5x Scudetti, 5x Coppa Italia, 2x SuperCoppa it's not easy to be achieved.

What high standard? All of those trophies, except 1 coppa italia, was won during his first time as Rube coach. The second time he was an epic failure both on and off the pitch.

Its basically like saying Roberto Mancini left a high standard at Inter after leaving the second time...

The high standard remained there after he left and was still there when he came back. High standard was that he needs to win. He failed to win, so it was an epic failure. That's the definition of high standard.

You cant both fail for 3 seasons and still leave the club with a high standard of winning, thats contradictory.

If Fabregas is serious about coaching he needs to bench his buddy Reina. I don't really rate Audero but even he would be better than this version of Reina. Guy is utterly done.

LOL

I`d never change Inzaghi for Motta. Inzaghi has won 7 trophies here.

Motta will have his pressure cooking just watch. Newbie Como and Verona are really not huge tests atm.

I am worried our team is a bit too old. Our youngest more or less regular is Aslani, and he's 22. Not good.

However looking at this Juve squad, I honestly believe, they are the exact opposite. They got rid of their most experienced players, and maybe that will pay off long term, while we are facing a massive rebuild project next year, but when the pressure piles on this year, Juve might crumble without any experienced players to calm things down. As @Jnr said Como and Hellas are not real benchmarks

Good start for Juve. They have hardly dipped into their new players either. It’ll be important for us to take at least four points from them on the H2H. I don’t trust any other team to give them much grief.

Torino play good football this season. Some of their patterns remind me of Inzaghi ball.

Ilic and Ricci look really good in midfield.

Retegui fitting Atalanta like a glove so far
Last year when I said Retegui needs to be playing in a different team to show his worth, people thought I hyped him for no reasons, I really watched him for a few games to evaluate that.

Glad it is showing now.

And Pina is actually a good fit for Gal's Genoa.

I feel like Torino is a copy cat of us last season, but I didn't follow them this season so far.

I have that concern as well, but the cores are actually in their prime and they have obviously been trying to prep the next guy (new goalie, frat, asllani) I mean next year budget should be RWB and CB.

Should be okay if the plan works out

The month of September will tell us more about this Juve side as they play some tougher clubs. Como and Verona will almost certainly be in the lower half of the table/fighting relegation.

They're fortunate that they can ease into things, though.
