Sad to see him leave, but we have gave him a fair offer, and Tottenham was desperate to offer more to please Conte so no hard feelings. All respect for defending black and blue till the end. We'll move on with Gosens and FDM. Grande Ivan, thank you for all the great moments. Wish you the best until you join hajduk split. Then we are enemies.

Not good but also not bad, but doesn’t that mean Bastoni more likely to stay ?

Bastoni is to be sold to get plusvalenza, perisic leaving has nothing to do with whether Bastoni is staying or not, if any it'd help with Dybala's coming in.

It's the best outcome for everyone really. Had it gone to Juve everyone would be livid. But we might end up in a situation where we let go of an ageing (albeit top quality) player, promote Gosens who is equally competent, and save ourselves a decent sum of money.

With Perisic, Vidal, Vecino, Caicedo and Rano gone, we have drastically reduced the average age of our squad. This gives us a stronger foundation to build on cos challenging the title won't be easy next season.

What would be painful is not Perisic leaving, but Bastoni. Unless the medical team has learnt something about his recent injury that we don't know of, letting go of Bastoni at this age would be fucking stupid.

I don't think there would be replacement for Perisic for this season. Gosens would take over that left spot. Still possible to play 3-5-2 or 3-1 4-2, effectively, if Dybala come in.

All the signs were indicating he won't be staying, so I wasn't surprised he didn't extend. Fortunately we already have a world class LWB as his replacement. Only his fitness remains a question, which I hope won't be an issue.

Why is everyone so devastated? Our management prepared for worst case scenario, and noone thought that Ivan would have the season of his career. I can only see him downgrading from it honestly.
And what is the point of benching a player like Gosens anyway? Get a grip and move on. We lack players in better positions, this is not the place to cry on.
Thank you and good luck Ivan!

Ivan the Terrible is a modern day Inter legend. Hope he dominates in England too.

Also, can anyone argue against him being our best player this season? When you look at it that way, this is the second year in a row we've lost our season MVP. Quickly turning into a fucking Roma here.

I'm going to miss him. Although now we have a new concern on what will happen should Gosens get injured. If Dimarco stays he can be a sub for both Gosens and Bastoni but that's still just another temporary patch in the squads depth.

That €6m per season for 33 year old is too much for us currently, as we already have another good player at bench Gosens.

I think Perisic was better in Inzaghi system than Conte’s and we may see that more clearly next season? PL is also more faster tempo with less
time and space, so Perisic really has a new challenge! It’s not going to be any easier when you are 33 and wingback role is most demanding position in field. But sure I bet he will still do good, but maybe not exel like in Inzaghi system with Inter/Serie A?

Conte’s spurs use now 3-4-3 and maybe Perisic will be used also at LW-RW, so it’s perfect transfer for Conte/Spurs!

I thank Perisic for his efforts and I hope he does great at Spurs!

Great player, awesome personality, a real leader and a true professionell. But, and that is a big but he is getting old and he is craving for his last big pay check. So imho it is good business that we are going to lose him. i really hope Gosens can step up and fill the missing spot.

Forza Ivan, all the best for you and I am happy that you will likely fulfill your dream of playing in the PL. :proud:

Just wish it wasn't to go play in the world's most boring kit combination. I won't deny that part of the reason I don't care for Tottenham at all is because white shirts and navy shorts is just so fucking unimaginative and bland. Going from the inherent beauty of black and blue stripes to that...the money will help of course.

Always thought he would stay here in the end. It's sad but life goes on. All the best to Ivan.

I'm not sad about him leaving. He's already 33, even though hè had his best season at Inter. It's not a rare phenomena for players on their last contract year too preform above expectations. It's about securing a big bag of money and proving themself. I do not see him reaching this level again next season.

Best of luck to him!!

It's a bit unclear if the money is around the same so it might be just that Perisic wants to try it at EPL now that his career is starting close in a few years. At least for EPL it will be last years he can be effective there because of the tempo difference.

Anyway I doubt this is purely financially motivated decision. Money is so close between the offers.
