It's not going to be, he has one year remaining of his contract.

His talent is getting wasted in LWB position, he needs to be used as LW / LF.

Only three players have scored a goal in 2014 World Cup, 2016 Euros, 2018 World Cup and 2020 Euros:

Cristiano Ronaldo
Romelu Lukaku
Ivan Perisic

If Inter are giving him an extension to reduce his salary next season, then it makes sense. Otherwise, its best to run down his contract and let him leave next year on a free.

I think so. If he renew for 3-3.5m/y for next 2 years is ok. We could use what we reduce on Dimarco salary. I would be OK with Perisic/Dimarco on LW. DiMarco would have 2 years time to develop.
Move Darmian on the right with Lazaro, if we don't have money for another addition.
Not the best solution, but if we are broke, there are no many alternatives.

Think I wanna keep him. Hopefully give him a year extension with reduced wage.

Perisic, Dimarco should be enough to get us through the season. Plus his leadership could be valuable in a transitional period like this.

Whatever transfer funds there are I'd rather be spent on a midfielder (let's ignore the fact there are no transfer funds for a moment).

Croatian winger Ivan Perisic could depart from Inter on a free transfer as the Nerazzurri look to reduce their wage bill. :palm:

This according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, who report that the €4.5 million owed to the 32-year-old on the final year of his contract is considered too high by the club.

As part of the plan to meet financial objectives in the summer, the Nerazzurri have set a goal of reducing the wage bill by 15%.

To this end, Joao Mario has already been allowed to depart for Benfica, while talks are ongoing with Cagliari for the release of Radja Nainggolan to the Sardinian club.

The likes of Matias Vecino and Andrea Pinamonti could also be let go, with the latter thought to be a player who the club would allow to leave on loan with a purchase option and the former admired by new coach Simone Inzaghi and likely to stay.

Perisic is another player who it is thought that the Nerazzurri would like to get off the books this summer, and with his contract expiring next summer and the club having no intention of renewing his deal it is hoped that he can be sold for a fee this summer.

However, should a suitable offer for the Croatian not come in, it is possible that he could be allowed to leave on a free transfer in order to shift his wages. :palm:

> Anybody wanting an Inter player right now are just siting back, eating popcorn and watching the melting pot auto-disolve.

He's practically fully amortized at this point. I have a hard time believing there isn't a club in Europe willing to offer even 4M for the man.

It's still around 6.5m€ though. But after these euros, I can't understand if he can't find a club for himself who could pay that fee.

Perisic (and our leftovers in general) is way overpaid. Just to compare, you can pick Berardi for 2m per season, 20m transfer fee. Still his annual cost is the same as Perisic's.

One is 32yo with zero resale value. The other one is much younger; if fails, could still bring some profit. Make your pick.

From the beginning, it was so obvious that the hypothetical math "Perisic 7m + Mario 7m + Dalbert 3m = 17m etc." never works. No one will buy expensive flops. The best to hope for is freeing their salary.

Thing with berardis and such are that when they sign for Inter, they don't sign for 2m€. They sign for 3.5m€ or something. We are giving Nandez 2.5-3m€ contract and he hasn't really done much yet.

Though it's still around the same overall cost but Berardi or such, failing at Inter and there is really no resale value because of his contract.

Above all else, Perisic is still a very serviceable player though. Letting him go for free is fucking lunacy considering the absolute fucking trashcunts we’ve been linked to, like Kurzawa and Emerson :palm:
Imagine giving Perisic away for free just to sign fucking Kurzawa/Emerson tho. Would be fucking hilarious. 😂
