He used to cross because that was our playing style for much of the time from the beginning of his contract here in 2015, until 2019.

In 2019 Inter sent him to Bayern and he returned a top player for Inter 2020. So I don't know if he upped his game in Germany (possible), or our playing style is not in a rudimentary state anymore (fact), or both.

Mind that for Croatia, he always looked great and before 2019 was one of their best players and still is I think.
Probably got stuffed full of the bayern PEDs. They definitely bulked him up as they do with all their players. I seen a pic of him in 2015 compared to now. Big difference, he's much bulkier.

I think he was "perishit" mostly in second season of Spalletti, but there were too much problems in the club back then. He had some struggles last season as well, but he's had adjusted himself to wingback's position perfectly.
I think he was mostly a scapegoat. I remember people lifting Candreva to the sky when comparing Candreva with Perisic. Sometimes the majority think very oddly.

Fabrizio Romano: Perisic has no agreements with any team and is not pushing to leave. He is happy at Inter and in Milan. Everything is open for a renewal. There is still no proposal from the Nerazzurri.

I've wanted this guy gone for the last few but he has been absolutely immense this season. I would be very happy with a 12 month extension + option for another.

This is a tough one. He really is having one hell of a season footballing-wise and I love his positive energy, leader-like attitude, towards his teammates (I'm a sucker for a player who pushes them upward when they fuck up or apologizes to them when he fucks up). However, I lean more towards not giving him a new contract. Let's end his time here on a high. Of course, I wish him the best whenever he leaves.

Our best player this season, and the best wing back in the world, period.

Also, i think we need to renew. 2 years contract should be enough with option for third maybe. He'd be 34 (35 with the option), and seeing he is physically a monster, I think it's fair for both sides.

I'm only okay with him leaving if we get a proper replacement, otherwise we'll eat salty dicks for the whole season

Better to renew him than spend bigger money on someone like Dumfries, Dalbertinho or Lazaro, and then they turn into a ghost on the bench after a few months. You have a top player, who look elsewhere?

I'm glad the club at least will try, if he doesn't want to, he'll leave and that's it.

Yeah I must admit he suprises me especially this season, so credits for him. Would I like to keep him? And 5M is a big paycheck but as Glass Box mentions. If we don't renew we have to spend money +salary and don't know how the player will perform. With Perisic we know what we get and I don't see him declining much in the coming 2,5 year.

To replace Perisic it will cost us an arm and a leg. 15 million for 3 years with the way he's playing would probably be a decent option.

I thought we already had Kostic lined up to replace him? A younger Kostic (3yrs) at lower wages is no brainer.

According to Schira's tweet which I posted above, Inter is planning to offer a contract with lowered wage, from 5M to 3,5-4M which might not be a decent option for Pero given the interest from PL teams.😔

Keep Perisic, get Kostic, and play Dimarco as Bastoni backup in games against small teams, where we have to break the defensive line. Please.

Dont mind low balling him a bit, lets face it we ve shopped him around for two summers and nobody wanted him. Imho it s all down to perisic if he wants to play at a top club and fight for titles he ll sign with us cause i dont see another top team coming for him.
On the other hand if he wants to fullfill his dream of playing in the PL and make more cash he ll find some PL team that will offer him more money than us.

Imho it all comes down to wether he wants to earn more or have another shot at wining something in a big league. If he wants to get a shot at more trophies i think we re his best shot.

He might be slightly done with trophies, having won treble with Bayern and scudetto with us. Time to snatch that last fat contract and just chill. We on the other hand need champions in the team. For that matter I would want us to extend Vidal too, of course on lower salary than he has now.
