Gds- Pessimism on the renewal of Perisic

Lets see who gives him 6M/year... I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up at Bayers playing for 2M... In my opinion he doesnt really wanna be here anymore.
Maybe Tottenham Conte or Newcastle.

I think he will stay at Inter if we win Scudetto. or win against Liverpool. Because we had CL money or Serie A winner prize.

even if we were as rich as PSG/City, there is no way I am giving a 33 year old Perisic 6M. I wouldnt even give him 5M. There's other options, that could probably be even better on that position.

From what you say, let's see Di Maria at PSG. If he renew, that must be because Di Maria so important for them.

Perisic must prove himself until end of season to get his renewal.

they should give him. not like he is bench player that makes 7-9 mill respectively. i mean you have starter that owns that side when he is on field and no give him. it will be hard to replace a guy

Disagree, too much money being burned in that situation especially if his form drops we are stuck with no resale value and high wages... I have a love hate relationship with Perisic from the bad times with his fight with icardi to lifting the scudetto for us. Cant say he hasnt been a beast this last season and dont blame him at all for wanting to be paid just not the right time for us to give these kind of contracts.

he's nowhere gonna get even 5M. He's just too old and not a priority for any team that could actually pay that much. So, like I said before, i believe he wants to leave and is just trying to milk us and see if we are stupid enough to bite.

Offer him 3/4m. That's the max he should get here. If he doesn't accept that then bye bye. Despite the season he's having, it is very likely that he declines as the year go by. The WB position needs a lot of energy and as the player age, he's gonna lose the grip he needs in order to succeed. So it's a big no for me to extend him on the rumored terms he's asking.

well that is a problem it would be bench dweller or player out of contract thatt other team thinks he is not good enough what he is asking for lol. inter soon midtable average club after this crop of players move on or are out of contract. thry will be looking for in mid table epl club where guys are on bench or out of contract player that nobody wants

Can the management find a player who can cover Perisic's place in the next 2 years with same quality? specially that we have like zero money? If not, then his renewal is a must. Saving 2-4 millions over the next two years isn't worth the risk of replacing Perisic. Keep negotiating his salary though until we're settled.

With Perisic's current form, it is fair to say it is hard to find someone with his quality also for his tactical awareness.
However, it is not just over 2-4 million actually. If he asking for €6m then it would cost us around €11.9m annually, or €35.7m for 3 year contract.
Signing let say Kostic for 10m fee and 2.5m per year contract would only cost us €6.4m annually.

If just Perisic would accept €3m + performance based bonus for 2 year + 1 extension that would bit make sense, although it is not going to happen.

Maybe not. It's just that Inter do not operate that way. Like we saw last summer. We are not going to pay whatever it takes to keep the same quality.
