So from what he said in the past he wanted to also play in the EPL when man utd wanted him at the time, so even if it was close wages he prob wants to go there before he retires, cant blame him if thats his choice.

I don't see us re signing him. We brought Gosens in to be a starter. 6 million for a 33 year old left winback is an enormous salary. He definitely deserves it, but with how limited we are financially I don't see it happening.

Bec they let it linger, and had the contract been extended Chelsea or any other team could have got him for a fee if he still wanted to leave end of the year.

With this guy it is complicated. I think he always valued himself high, but no one including Inter did not think so. Now, at the age of 33, he proved his value like a boss.

Extremely disappointing if Perisic is on his way out over unfulfilled contract demands. As reported, the club is offering 4.5 mil and he wants 6 which means the difference between our offer and his demand is 1.5 mil.

In principle, it seems correct to be wary of signing a 33 year old winger/wingback on a high contract amid financial struggles - the memory of our bloated contract bill ten years ago under Moratti is still fresh in my mind - but Perisic is the exception I would make to that rule. To lose a player of his level over 1.5 mil is senseless - replacing his impact will cost Suning far more than that.

This is the trap we can fall into, thinking we can seriously rely on gosens, and he becomes new sensi or sensi light. We sell perisic, buy some unproven talented player coz we have gosens and then gosens gets injured and all the pressure in the world is on that so called perisic replacement. Keep in mind our flank productivity mostly comes from the left, the right is nowhere near that consistent or a game changer, implying both darmian and dumfries are staying next season. So if this all comes true, our flanks will be extremely impotent.

So the point is if perisic leaves, we have to buy someone like kostic or pray to god gosens isn't broken, which nobody can say for sure until he plays one full season, and counting on that and him as our only world-class wb option scares me.

Thats the only title that matters. The other 2 are still great titles and that they are against that team makes it better but in the grand scheme of things, Scudetto and CL are what matter.

Regardless i wanted Mourinho back at Inter, never wanted Conte, Marotta, Inzaghi etc so thats a whole different discussion we can have in his thread.
