We once extended his contract and then he has been shit until his next contract almost expired. We have Gosens and we cannot afford having two class players for the same position.

No it's not. They made a perfectly reasonable €4.5 mil offer for a 33 year old.
If a little extra money is more important to Ivan then there is nothing to do.
We are not in a financial position to over pay on veterans.

I disagree. Perisic is currently on 5m pa, and Inter are offering a reduced salary for what is essentially a free transfer. Perisic has had a good season, so I can understand if he isn't feeling very loved.

I think Inter need to take a view on whether Perisic will be as useful for the next 2 years. If the answer if yes, then give him a small increase. Its a "free transfer" there is no amortisation cost here. If the answer if no, its time to move on.

Personally, looking at his work rate even at this age, I suspect the answer is yes. The last 6 months is the best I have ever seen Perisic play.
