Gds says he accepted the offer from juve 6m/year salary
Can`t believe you guys are still falling for GdS reports after all the crap they have "reported" :yao: Ivan knows better and would not join that club.

According to Sportitalia and Gazzetta dello Sport pundit Alfredo Pedullà, Inter raised their offer from €4.5m to €5m per season plus bonuses, taking the total up to €6m.
However, the player’s representative informed the Nerazzurri that foreign clubs have offered the former Bayern Munich star a €6m-a-year contract plus add-ons. Chelsea and Newcastle are believed to be interested in the 33-year-old, but Juventus have also made a similar offer to sign the winger on a free transfer.

I don't think Marotta has done well (at all) managing our current players' contracts. He should have extended de Vrij to make him more profitable to sell. He took too long to extend Brozovic, and is taking too long to extend Skriniar and Perisic.

I'm not sure how much of this is player's dragging their feet, or Suning not having money to finish deals, but Perisic has every right to call them out.
I see what you mean, especially with sale value of De Vrij. From management perspective this kind of dragging on has its benefits
- you provoke the player to prove their worth and you see who has champ mentality (Ivan did great to earn his next contract)
- you don`t actually have to pay the increase of wage right away, which is important for the budget (see Lautaro, who we ideally want to keep)
- you act like this when you are confident enough. Directors are there every day, know and FEEL the atmosphere. They know if someone wants to stay or leave

Nobody knows if he plays top of his game for his last fat contract or when his age catches up.
Had this concern as well, especially given his past years of inconsistent performances. Now he seems to have reached that certain level and he enjoys it.
But have you seen him shirtless? Guy is a freak of nature and keeps building on it! He will have a long career IMO, true pro athlete like Ronaldo.
My gut feeling says he will stay. He just had a newborn son. Unless his family is really ready to pack their bags, he’s not going to move unless the money is simply enormous or it’s the sort of opportunity he’s always wanted.

He seems happy here.
OK, now this is a gamechanger. In this case I also bet he will stay.

I could see Bernardeschi coming if Perisic leaves, get more coverage with a free player. Would not mind it if Gosens is the first choice.

Most reports are saying the decision will come today and that Inter is otimistic. Other options would be Tottenham and Chelsea.

Perisic takes Tottenham’s offer instead and Bastoni joins him. Dimarco is also sold to Torino as part of the Bremer deal.

Next season’s left flank players: Acerbi, Romagnoli, Bernardeschi on combined higher wages than the three that left.

Guy is waiting for more money from Tottenham. Can they give him like 6 M and 3 years? That's certainly contract we don't want here.

I'd give Atletico a shot as well. They were the first to come with an offer (6m iirc) but no idea if it was rejected, rescinded or something.

His stance basically confirms what i already think about him.

On the contrary, i always got mercenary vibes from him. He has played for 3 different German teams. He has never really expressed any strong attachment to the club. He is a professional in every sense of the word. He would just go to the highest bidder. He wouldn't do it out of spite like Hakan but he would do it simply because it's good business for him.

He will only stay if he doesn't get a better offer from another club. Honestly i am totally indifferent whether he stays or leaves. The offer from the club is good enough. If he doesn't want to stay door is open. Gosens is good enough to be our starting wingback and we have much more serious problems to worry about.

Well they should know if they have a better offer and it shouldn’t be this hard to make a decision the last thing this club needs is another perisic saga like when we first signed him

We're offering 5 they're offering 6, so he's probably leaving unless the family wants to stay.

I won't give bad looks to Perisic if he decides to leave as long as it's not Juve (and it looks it won't be). If he wants a new challenge, with better money than our offer (or the same money or less), can't fault the guy for that.

Would love to have him since he's a world class player even at this age.

Us with Perisic: We must practice financial discipline and stick to our limits. We don't want to overpay an aging player on a short-term contract.

Us with Mkhitaryan: We need you. Here's an offer that blows away anything else you've received.
