He's probably the player in our squad with the most successful career, when you take into account NT and clubs. It's worth having champions like that. And being 32, 33--it's not the same as 10 years ago.

If he wants to leave then he wants to leave, but if there is a chance to keep him they should try imo What he's been showing these last few years, in a role/position where we are, currently and historically, in dire need of a top player... it justifies the contract imo

Unless they have some new Theo Hernandez lined up...
Lol dude, it's Vidal and it's not close.

Sure, Vidal, Sanchez as well, had a fantastic career. Teams Perisic played for, though, won CL, played in a WC final, won a treble...that qualifies as "close" the way I see it. Vidal's teams achieved non of those as far as I know.

I still consider Vidal to have more illustrious career than Perisic. I lost count how many league titles Vidal has won with Muenchen, Barca, and jupe and he has always been instrumental for those teams. I do not really count Perisic's CL, treble, and WC runner up as a winning chip against Vidal because he was less important for Muenchen and Croatia than Vidal for clubs and NT. IMO, considering Perisic as a more reputable player than Vidal is like picking Arnautovic over Lautaro because the former has won treble.

Perisic was Croatia's 2nd most important player, no need to discount that.
And going to WC final with Croatia, thats achievement of epic proportions. Imagine Chile doin that?No fkn way...His trophys with Bayern,Rube,Barca it was expected and easier with squads like that, he didnt win championship with fkn Leverkusen. For me Perisic achieved more. Its not everything in fkn numbers.Rube have far more scudetto than Inter, but they suffer so much cause our treble that year. They would trade those 9 years scudetti for that thats for sure.

If we win Scudetto this year, he is my player of the season.

Vidal only won those bundesliga titles cause every year Bayern wins there, all teams are like the B team of Bayern there.
Juve titles are not legit and in Barcelona didn't do much.

Vidal was legit a great player at Juve. Just the right fit for them.

And I truly see a bit of Vidal in Barella.

Yeah Vidal won titles in strong teams, but to be good enough to play for those is an achievement itself.

Btw Perisic won the German double with Borussia Dortmund in 2012, which seems to be overlooked on here.

It's usually overlooked because he had a limited role in that Dortmund team, in part due to his bad relationship with Klopp. It's like crediting Balotelli for winning triplete.

We have a few players with quality winning experience... Vidal, Perisic, Sanchez, Dzeko, even Kolarov.

Now we are creating some quality players who also have a winning experience in Barella, Bastoni, Martinez, Skriniar, Brozovic, De Vrij, etc. Its a good mix. Lets leave it at that.

We have to, though, because he was instrumental in our group stage victory against Rubin (and was part of the attacking play that earned us the winning goal against Dinamo), + scored some points-winning goals in Serie A that led us to a tight victory in the championship (10 points in fact, if you only count the winning goals and equalilzers in draws, including the winner in the penultimate game of the season against Chievo) + scored the winning goal against Juventus in Coppa QF. He wasn't our primary player, of course, but he was quite important, we might have ended up without any of the three titles without his goal-scoring contribution.

Haha he is feeling himself too much right now and he made a few mistakes. Good thing he is experienced and that won't play on his mind, can't wait for the Milan game, especially since Milan seems to have issues on the wings

Anybody else have some intense banter-era flashbacks watching him do his half step-over and crossing on his left with Calabria in front of him? Some real 2-2, 2017 vibes.

Usually players that will probably leave next summer don't play as good as Perišić does right now. If that means anything, I don't know. But I'm glad we have him. Every point we gather counts.
