Yup. We've signed exactly one good wingback in the better part of three years playing in this system. I don't know why people think that's going to change.

I love to joke that wingbacks aren't signed; they're created in a lab. You need the perfect combination of failed winger and competent defender. We had the best wingback in the world and we sold him for a 15M capital gain.

In an ideal world you keep Perisic, you bring Kostic as his backup, you release Kolarov and you have Dimarco as an option both for lcb and lwb. But sadly we don't live in an ideal world.
