This is the best version of Perisic I have ever seen.

I'm curious if he is trying to convince some top club to offer him a big deal or he wants us to make that step. As far as I know, we would like to keep him but to lower his salary.

Don't have one.
Whether this is an effort for a new contract or not, I think we should bite. Perisic in this form is one of the best wingbacks in europe.

Kostic recently changed his agent, probably in an effort to sign for inter, and I think we are also interested, so it will be interesting to see how this shit develops and whether we can somehow afford both.

I don't think he would sign a new deal even if the club offered him one, he's entering the final years of his career and I've got the feeling he wants to play in a more attacking role, that of a pure winger.

That said, massive respect for him to willing to take up a new role and position for Conte and managing to perform even better under Inzaghi's charge.

There was a moment when he sprinted all the way back to kick a ball out to the sideline when Bastoni was nowhere to be found. Feels like Perisic is still 25. Not mad at all if he ended up refusing us to extend on a lower salary. Of course I could rationalise why we shouldn't extend him but his performance deserves massive respect

This smells like playing for a contract form. You can bet if he renews he’ll be back to putting in a thousand low crosses a game. I’m pretty convinced he wants to go try something new, I’m happy to be benefiting from his current form for whatever reason is causing it.

Do you honestly think he played like shit on purpose? He's always been a true professional even when he wanted to leave.

"Playing for contract form" is when a player suddenly increases work rate in the final 2 months of a season. Perisic's work rate was always great. And ever since he has adjusted to his new role at LWB, he has been awesome for a year now. A whole year.

Lets give him his due respect. Perisic has found his groove as LWB, and he is one of the best in the world in that position now. It would be awesome if we can retain him, but unfortunately I don't think we can afford him. I suspect Perisic will be offered some crazy wage deals in January, when he is allowed to listen to offers.

Inter should renew him and Brozovic base on our UCL progression to round 16. We got 9,6m for qualifying to round 16.

They are our two best players so far.

Mourinho will try to get him if there is a chance. Not sure which of our clubs need him more, but Roma/Mou fits in a lot of ways.

I really doubt Perisic switches from Inter to Roma. :D It's not like Roma will pay considerably more than what we can do.

I remember i used to call him Perishit for being so useless. But that was the time before he went to Bayern and Icardi was here, and he hated Icardi.

He is such an important asset now. Well done Ivan!

I think he was "perishit" mostly in second season of Spalletti, but there were too much problems in the club back then. He had some struggles last season as well, but he's had adjusted himself to wingback's position perfectly.

He used to cross because that was our playing style for much of the time from the beginning of his contract here in 2015, until 2019.

In 2019 Inter sent him to Bayern and he returned a top player for Inter 2020. So I don't know if he upped his game in Germany (possible), or our playing style is not in a rudimentary state anymore (fact), or both.

Mind that for Croatia, he always looked great and before 2019 was one of their best players and still is I think.

Probably got stuffed full of the bayern PEDs. They definitely bulked him up as they do with all their players. I seen a pic of him in 2015 compared to now. Big difference, he's much bulkier.
