According to GdS, Inter will offer 4.5m to Perisic for a two-year contract. This is basically what he currently earns so i believe he will stay.

I want to move Dimarco to LCB. He is too predictable for LWB. So Perisic and Kostic for LWB would be great competition to have.

2 years doesn't sound bad, even with those numbers. I feel Perisic can maintain his level for that time, I'd say even easily.

Thing is this won't help us reducing salaries
I'm not sure he can. The WB position needs a lot of energy and I'm not sure if an older Perisic can maintain the same level as he's having this season.

Offensively, of course Dimarco will be the best option for LCB as he offers another attacking avenue providing crosses and shots and runs into the box.

Defensively, Dimarco is even worse than I thought. Borderline garbage IMO. Guy simply doesn't commit to defending. Not to mention, he's about 1.50m tall and doesn't win headers.

Perisic is still leagues ahead with his work rate, defensive awareness and willingness, positional sense and ability to read the game. I'm very happy to hear the renewal is close.

Currently Dimarco is fine as LCB given injuries to both Ranocchia and de Vrij. Moving forward though, I hope we never have to see Dimarco as LWB unless it's specific attacking tactic against a shit side or something. I'd hope Inzaghi sticks to rotating him as LWB.

There's no escaping the fact that we need a good CB alternative, one who can play as the wide CB in a 3 man defense. Given recent rumors it finally seems management is no longer satisfied with Kolarov (begs the question why the fuck we even renewed him) and is seeking another CB. Bremer has been my choice for a while and I don't even know whotf Malang Sarr is. Ginter is OK too.

Agree but I think we have to look at Vecino, Sanchez, Vidal and Kolarov for this to happen. And all the players who will come back from loan we really need to sell all these clowns.

Perisic earned his new contract, he really suprised me last couple of months.

It does help us save tens of millions on finding a replacement though.
I thought Kostic was already wrapped up? I like Perishit and I'm impressed by his fitness levels but his time is up. We need to steer clear of 30+ year olds, there's always on or two that can keep (Modric, Alves) but for the vast majority you can't beat father time. Unless he accepts 3M he has to go IMO.

Kostic is not wrapped. And Perisic is surely better and more sure bet than Kostic.

Perisic surely feels like a player who can go on and continue. He's 33 in February and doesn't look slower or unfitter than in previous years. He's also not injured too often so he maintains himself well and his body time is good for sports.

I think we'll offer him something like 3.5m€ + 1m€ bonuses for 2 years. 2 years is probably our maximum and it's possible Perisic is fine with that. Unless he gets a good offer from EPL I don't think he's gonna leave. He can go to Germany after those 2 years for lower salary and retire there.

He was weirdly ignored a few times.

I just remembered that Young was about 35 and playing good enough for us, having Perišić for two more years seems like a good idea.

Young was good only in his first 6 months at the club. He was very poor in the following season. His extension looked like a no brainer when it happened but one year later people were cursing management for it. You never know how fast a player can decline.

I'd be bald and say Young was good some few games during those 6 months which is why it felt like he was good for 6 months.

They have different strengths.

the WB role requires stamina and pace to excel, and both diminish with time and age. It's certainly possible Perishit could go on like this for another 2-3 years, but there's a risk we're taking risk here. Meanwhile, Kostic is 3 years younger than Pershit.

I think we'll offer him something like 3.5m€ + 1m€ bonuses for 2 years. 2 years is probably our maximum and it's possible Perisic is fine with that.
3-3.5m€ + 1m€ bonuses is cool.

why are you calling him perishit? Are you an inter fan or just a hater of certain players? Also, I see you talk a lot of shit about Brozovic too, so is there any racial prejudice here? I mean who cares about some random dickhead from mothers basement but just wondering....
