We're lucky that he wants to stay, because otherwise we're fucked with no money to spend.

I liken his playing style with Luis Figo. They dominate wide area by not beating their marker but by delivering the ball. The difference is Figo had superb technique and accuracy while Perisic has more athleticism and distance perception. I would like to put a spotlight on the latter. It is insane that he is a beast in one on one without being fast because he is extremely adept at manipulating the distance between him and his defender. He chooses the right decision either in running to byline or cutting inside. Then he manages to deliver the ball which escapes his defender because the distance is right and he aims for the deadspot of his defender. Incredible to think this is the player who initially struggled at basic football at the beginning of his WB role, but now he is the main contender of Serie A player of the season.

Dude, Perisic is the fastest player we have. He's also one of the fastest in Europe, not only in Serie A. He's almost as fast as Alphonso Davies at top speed who's considered the fastest player along with the likes of Hakimi and Mbappe...

Figo was very different than Perisic. Figo wasn't fast, he was one of the greatest dribblers ever. Perisic takes on players mostly by trying to catch them wrong footed with his stepovers. Perisic's first step is insanely fast which helps him a lot there, but it takes him a while to reach top speed. His big steps when running help a lot with this as well. It's also why he doesn't run as fast when he plays as an attacking winger. He has a lot more space to run now.

I'm one of the longest serving Perisic fanboys but he's not that fast, come on.

Perišić was second this CL group stage in accurate crosses behind Tadić, if I am not mistaken.

Brozo was third in most successful forward passes.

Is it unjustified to say that Perisic this season pulled more worth than 2x season MVP Lukaku?

I'm in love with this man, and at this point, you can consider him an Inter great(/legend). Only time he left is because we forced him out... And he went on to win a CL.

How someone can be so good offensively (dribbling, pace [at 33!], finishing, heading, crossing, off the ball) and also learn how to position and intercept well defensively in about 1-2 season of adaptation...

Perfect player and intelligent as hell.

Perisic jersey will be bought next season.
