aye, but by agreeing with tottenham, he's turning down our offer of 4.8+bonuses. I expect his tottenham contract wll come out more like the 6m euros/season net that he was looking for from Inter, so to keep him it would have been that much
Ah yeah, sure. It was never reasonable for Inter to offer 6m€. But also I don't think Perisic's main motivation was to get +1m€ net if that's the deal he's gonna get at Spurs (I actually think that will include bonuses too), but to get to EPL and Conte's project is interesting for him (he's probably got a promise of a big role).

honestly, i think its fine. It's sad to see him go, but its okay - its good to rejuvenate rather than just continually having to pay off players who are 1/2 years past useful :D

Our offer was fair, he just decided to take a little bit more and play in Premier league, where he always wanted to play. I wish him the best, but i also give zero fucks about Tottenham.

The only problem was delaying so much. At this stage, what the hell...

But nothing of that makes sense cause we are continuing bringin old farts, like Mikhi now. There is no new talents, just bringin old farts. Atleast Perisic was performing like monster, we are goin now for Mikhi and fkn Leiva. Pathetic.
Mikhi is still not a done deal. It's a rumor just like Asllani, Parisi, Bellanova and Udogie. All of them are young talents, but you prefer to focus only on Mikhi and Leiva.

Miki is the same age as Perisic and Sanchez, on rumored free transfer and half the money of Vidal, Perisic and Sanchez.

Under Fonseka, he did great as a an attacking Mid. His numbers were great in 2020-2021 season. This year under Mou, he played DM mostly and still contributed 5 goals and 6 assists. I mean, if Perisic would have played DM position, would he get his numbers? I'm not comparing them really, just saying that age wise they are the same, with Miki half the money. At least here, Miki does not have to play DM so his rotational stints would be more of offensive midfield positions.

2020-21-34 games in Serie A-11 goals-16 assists 2746 minutes
2021-22-31 games in Serie A-5 goals-6 assists, 2501 minutes.

I agree with this, why are we comparing Miki with Perisic? Lol if anything it'd be for Vidal and I'd take Miki with half the salary compared to Vidal. Let's not forget that Miki did cover alot of ground last season as well so it's not like he's a lazy bum.

I am not saying about stats,I am asking was he the best player of the team that is inferior to Inter team in every position. I would love if we get Modrić from Real but we are not getting Modrić,we are getting Miki, thats the point. He wasnt even best player in fkn Roma. How can you compete with Rube and Beelan next season with Mikhi or maybe Leiva, cause we are goin obviously that route. We will lose Bastoni also. Look how fkn Beelan get players like Leao,Tonali, why are we chosing old farts and not trying to get young players with big potential like we did with Bastoni and Barella, why are we choosing this route, after making mistakes with Ninja,Vidal,Kolarov? This is not owners fault, this is what Inzaghi wants and it sucks big time,we saw that with Dzeko and Caicedo. It wont bring anything good to us,neither results, neither money. If you want to bring old player bring the guy who had great season, like Cunte did with Perisic.

Look, I mean it's not Miki's fault that
Perisic wants to play in EL next year. He is not a direct replacement for him either. He was one of the
leaders of Roma. Him, Pellegrini, Abraham. ok. I mean, if I have to think about a squad, replace some players and still keep competitive spirit, Miki or somebody like him makes sense for free and 2 years.

Zhang's Ok
Marotta said "We are sorry, but he wanted to try a new experience in the Premier League. We were not in a position to present better offers, simply his choice was based on a different future than the current one. Maximum respect for this also a big thank you. We will find the right substitute and, in any case, we have already taken Robin Gosens."

So he decided to leave, it didn't matter if we gave a better offer.

Marotta does this every time we sell a player. Or in this case, let a player leave.

Nah. He also basically admits he had a better offer from Tottenham and we weren't in a position to match it.

While I'm fine w/ not spending crazy money to extend a 33 year old Perisic, the one thing I'm not crazy about is losing his pace. Last summer we sold our 2 fastest players and this summer we're starting off by again losing our fastest player. Not great for a team whose lack of pace was a major issue this season.
