Inter’s Colombian defender could be sold to ease Financial Fair Play burden
To yield to cash and finance part of a market that will have to be important. This is the strategy that Inter has planned for the summer and, awaiting Luciano Spalletti's official announcement, is carefully considering which players are currently in the squad, but could be able to place on the market. Among them there is definitely Colombian central defender Jeison Murillo.
SURPLUS OPERATION - Arrived in Nerazzurri in the summer of 2015 (but blocked at the beginning of the year) Murillo transferred from Granada for 8 million and 300 thousand EUR and signed a five-year contract just over one million EUR a year. In two years, Inter have struggled to maintain their budget balance and stay within FIFA financial fair play regulations. If Inter can find an agreement that will ease this burden, in the end they can realize a fundamental gain in financial fair play, and Murillo could be on his way out.
REQUEST AND WANTS - According to Calciomercato.com, Inter has no intention of surrendering Murillo for less than 25 million EUR. No club, however, has come close to that figure in the first contacts over the last few months. Murillo has many followers in Italy (Roma track him) and above all abroad. Villarreal is ready to contact the player by the end of the week, but they do not want to exceed 10 million for him. Crystal Palace has also asked for information, and Roberto Mancini's Zenit is the latest sign up for the long list of contenders. Murillo, on the other hand, asks all clubs for a salary of more than 2 million a year, the same figure as Inter also requested, with whom only one month ago he had begun to
I wouldn't sell this guy unless Zenit breaks the bank. We have Miranda, Skriniar and Murillo. Medel and Andreolli will be gone and we need 4 CBs.
Can't Yao have a chance now? 4th defender in picking order won't be getting much time so why not?
If Zenit offers over 20, sell him.
