Hellas Verona and Udinese. He also had an assist against Napoli. But that's where his contribution ends. It's not nearly good enough from someone who cost 30m.
True but he also hasn’t been fit. Really unlucky with minor injuries so far. Hopefully he stays fit the second half of the season.

I am not that high tho, it easy to know who has been more effective and more involved so far between those two based on their stats, by putting concern on minutes play.
If only football was just about stats. Try watching some games instead

From what i've watched is that Martinez as target man who couldn't hold up the ball for his life. Just look at Alexis with 1,68m height doing the task better.
Martinez frequently found himself isolated upfront and messed up our build-up play easily. Thats why he couldn't involve so much which reflect on his assists tally. He is the embodiment of Lukaku, in a worse version. Correa offers much more diverse action in attacking, by his dribbling, passing, or keeping ball ability.

TBH as this rate of him blending in, we will only be seeing him play well and consistent in the next season, or close to the very end of this one, and that is already optimistic.
He still do something somewhat worth his money or partially, stole a few points for us so far, but if you are looking for a consistent, gelling well with the team, yea next year.

You can be shit and try on the pitch but I don't even see that trying part from Correa out there, sure maybe he needs a bit more time but then again we got Inzaghi as a manager who should know the player and how to get the most out of him.

At least we didn't sign him on a massive lenght contract, only until 2024.

He’s a tricky player. For me just don’t set high expectation, he hasn’t played full match, injury could be one or two times a year but already contributed 4 goals and 1 assist that gain us 8 points. We have 4 strikers with totally 4 different profiles, he can be good to unlock hard breaking match. Only downside is price tag, it’s quite high for not starting striker.

Agree he needs more playing time. But there's also one simple trick to show his worth: defend. Even Alexis and Dzeko run like mad, not to mention Perisic. They are all >30 years old.

Correa on the other hand jogs around like he's in Central Park. When we lose the ball, he'd just jay-walk and expect his teammate to pick him up again. Sorry this is not how it works in Italy and of all people he should know it better.

When Eriksen joined us, he had more or less the same problem. Later on he tried to cover more ground despite being ineffective. But it doesn't matter. It sends a message to the coach and your team. I'm not saying Correa is an arrogant player but he needs to show he cares on the pitch.

I actually think he’s done a little better with this in recent matches. He’s still not exactly Lautaro but he actually did press against Lazio and Atalanta. It needs to become the norm though.

He is like Recoba's debut season, score 2 awesome winning goals on his debut then went quiet for the whole season. (at least that stat from wiki).
He might not be a pure striker where we expect double-digit goals from him, but he should start to give some impact and realize he played for Inter.

He looked really good against Roma, it’s such a shame he got injured and now it feels like he needs to start again.

Still was my last choice for 30m in the summer, but it’s done now.

+1 just wanted to type the same comment

Roma game would be his best game this season if the injury didn't happen.

Have to admit that I expected much more from him. Especially because the way he started and although he has been unlucky with the injuries he hasn't been great so far. But I still think he will be important if he stays fit and should be hitting the double figures with assists/goals combined at the end of the season.

Not to justify Empoli's reckless defender, but Correa seemed to have relaxed his body a bit much for a situation where a big guy is doing whatever that's called. He seemed resigned to be fouled, but that doesn't mean the danger for his body was over and he found out the hard way. Real shame, this is a game to enjoy.

Him crying is an indicator that this injury is even worse than the last one. Wouldn't be surprised if his season is over.
