I wish Inzaghi would try Correa on Calha's slot. He likely offers even less defensively than Calha, but Correa feels so lost up front. He doesn't seem to know where to walk and where to go.

At least in midfield he can dribble to his heart's content, move the ball forward and provide through passes. His strength. Much like one named Sensi once used to do.

I've been asking for Belotti all summer long if he would cost just 12M. Of course Belotti offers even less than Correa. But 30M for Correa? What for? His arrogant attitude?

Be good to see how he lines up with Dzeko however I don't like the idea of Toro being benched for him.

Correa in Hakan's slot actually sounds like a great idea, I didn't even think about that at all, when he joined I discussed the fact he was not a striker and people just "argued" he was, well he simply he isn't and your spot on, he looks lost. I like this idea the most.

His last few performances are why I was against this signing. We needed a goal scorer this summer, and Correa is definitely not that. He's a luxury player and somewhat redundant with Sanchez in the squad.

Belotti is a corpse who is always hurt, so he wasn't a much better alternative.

Basically, we would need to play a 3-4-1-2. It would be interesting. Correa behind El toro and dzeko.

Bothers me to no end when a talented player doesn't apply himself by putting in the requisite effort. Correa needs time but still a soft player. He wanted to come here and make his mark. Instead he's shying away from the challenge.

At this point bench worthy, good enough for a 20 minute cameo. However, given Dzeko's age, they should share minutes.

Disappointed of his approach. He looked awkward and unmotivated.

This match showed those things from Correa why I didn't like the rumors when he got linked to us. He just fucking try to force it through multiple defenders when in possession and nothing else.

But I'd still use him as placeholder starter once a week to give Dzeko the rest. I rather want Dzeko than Correa as sub at 60th minute. Dzeko cannot play 90min games week in week out, let alone twice a week. Just play 0-0 till hour mark and then release the kraken. :D

I agree that would be much more interesting than what we are doing now. But unfortunately we don't have forward alternatives on the bench to play that week in, week out.

I'm don't think that Correa will work behind the forwards as apart of his dribbling he's completely average player. If we want to use AM, it's much better to deploy Hakan there, instead to paly him as CM like now.

I agree with @varmin. Correa is a great dribbler and he can create something on his own but he isn't a playmaker. There are more chances of Alexis working as an AM than Correa. Correa can only be a secondary striker in our formation.

We also dont have the midfield to play this, we are alredy weak defensively in midfield taking out one more midfielder and adding a striker is not gonna help.

Picked up a thigh muscle injury while with Argentina.

10/10 buy so far  2 goals and hasn't played a game since - or even when he has played, he might as well have not. I don't want to despair but fuck me why do we ever buy anything from Lazio.

Yeah at this point it looks we overpaid, but it's early season.

Btw, he got a harmstring injury, ruled out a game against Peru. Just fucking great, right before we start our heavy schedule. At least put him back on the next plane.

edit. Some sources keep saying it's a muscle fatigue.

Hamstring, thigh, fatigue, pull, dislocation, it actually shouldn't remotely matter, why is he still in Argentina??????

We actually don't count for shit, clubs like Madrid, Juve, City, PSG all get their players back early due to 'minor injuries' from NT breaks, whereas De Vrij is out there killing himself for 90 minutes against Andorra.

Isn't that a golden rule to NOT bring the manager's favourite player to our team? Spaletti with Ninja. Conte with Vidal. Now Inzaghi with Correa.

Inzaghi got lucky cos all of you were excited about Correa's signing. I've always maintained he's overvalued. Honestly if we can go back to Belotti for 8M this winter, just do it. We're broke and can't afford anyone else. Let's not end up in a situation where we have to recall Esposito to be our 3rd striker.

Got lucky because FIF were excited about Correa signing? I don't follow this logic.
