I mean is the plan for him to fight for a starting spot this season? If not dropping 15m and losing a promising youngster seems like a bad move if he isnt going to play for another 2+ seasons (he is 26 already... so being a back up seems not best for him)
For the price, obviously we're expect him to give at least Sommer competition. Do Inzaghi will drop Sommer soon? Perhaps not so soon. Unless Josep impresses him so much in preseason or during season-long training. He may surprise us with his performance or the amount we overpaid for his backup role.

Regarding Oristanio, we've been loaning him out for 3 seasons, he doesn't seem to making it yet, so what is the better option for now, loan him out for free or next to nothing till his contracts expires or earn that capital gain now?
Anyway, we have yet to be informed whether or not a buy out clause has been inserted.

How ppl being scared of this clause is beyond me. 12m is dirt cheap. If Trubin is that good we can simply use him for many years. Dont sell then that clause isnt triggered.
Well is he that good?

Simply said, Inter generally does not do that kind of business.

We are definitely not signing him to be a No. 2 in the long term.
No. But due the fee it isn’t a sure thing he will be the no. 1 neither.

He has a whole season to prove himself during training, friendlies and initial starting games. When he doesn’t impress, I’m sure we will look for another one.

The management deserves the benifit of the doubt, but it’s hard to imagine that a gk, who wasn’t even close to be among the best goalkeepers in Serie A past season, at the age of 26 in his first year at the highest level of professional football, will be fighting for a starting spot at a topclub in one of the most (if not the most) important positions.

Due his price and style, Martinez make sense. But quality wise he is a big risk imo.

Yes. I can understand if we skip Trubin for Bento, but not Martinez.

That's our drawback and I am begging to change (Inter operates in negative each year anyway). We can happily pay for grandpas with zero resale value to use them a couple of years. But scared of wonderkid with "only" half resale value to use in 5 years or more. Even though that kid is already good enough.

I didn't know who Sommer was until last year.

Honestly, I think that we should have gone for Di Gregorio who is a better shot stopper, and for me this is the most valuable attribute.

This seems to me an attempt to push Genoa, to accept our lastest terms and close the deal.

Hopefully it's the other way round. I really don't want to have Martinez, even that Jörgensen guy sounds more interesting and I haven't heard of him before 😂

This comment represents pretty well the whole mercato following of fans. :D They just want some "interesting" players who they have possibly never even heard of, or seen play.
