Actually he has made enough mistakes to deserve bench for a few games but the probelm is that we have no proper replacement

No. That is exactly the problem with Inter when playing young players. When they've made "enough" mistakes, they are benched. Wrong. It will benefit the club in the long run if JJ keeps playing and developing, learning from his mistakes.

Even with those mistakes, he is still better than Chivu, AND the only one pacey enough and with world class tackling. He is young, i expected such mistakes from him, i really did. I said it before he will make them. Now it's important that he is paired with Rano and NOT be benched.

I said just for few games(one or two).In that situation he may learn that he is not irreplaceable and try to improve and play with more enthusiasm! We all know he is not good enough in man marking and positioning and sometimes plays too confidently

so much this. players always make mistakes - i would rather the mistakes were made by a learning 20/21 year old, than a seasoned 30 year old veteran. At least the younger player can learn from them. Chivu will never learn from his brainfarts.

So what if he'll make mistakes after few games out? Bench him again? It'll make him lose all of his confidence, and maybe he'll never reach his full potential. Now it's time to show our trust in him.

Exactly. He's not exactly the weak link in our team right now. When he is, we can talk about possibly benching him. But until then, he's actually one of the biggest successes of the season imho. Look at what Ranocchia has managed to do with consistent playing time - Who Scored.com's XI of the season across all leagues (along with Campagnaro actually). JJ is so young that he's only going to learn from this season - and learn alot he will. Once he starts to "foil" with Ranocchia better, too, we'll all be laughing.

Yeah, that is a double-sided sword. Basically I'm happy both ways. Reputation and confidence boost is important, specially for younger players. When they are older, caps start to be hurtful for the club because injury-risks grow (generally).

actually he already made mistake since our first meeting against fio (when we won 3-1), but people often ignored it(he lost his man many times), then again it doesn't really matter, he still young (it's our opportunity to groom him), let's give him time, he will do just fine, hopefully he can develop into a mature cb for us

and don't forget that our mid, didn't provide enough protection to our def, hopefully we can improve it next season

I believe his form did drop a little in recent games and he did make some mistakes but that is all good because he can learn from them.

Even Thiago Silva had his faults in his first season with Milan

thiago silva had faults in other seasons too. no defender is faultless, but Juan is looking like a beast already.

Actually liked him in the right CB slot. Felt like he was able to pass the ball around the back a bit more comfortably. Solid last night. Excited to see us growing our own CB with world class potential.
