FIF members keep changing their standards. And even if people don't change their opinion, someone new will join FIF, and they stuck with the standard of old members, who may not active anymore.

Shouldn't we reopen the poll? It's still a popularity contest, but the result can be different now.

the more that I think about it, the more I feel Ronaldo, Cruz and Palacio belong in the players that did great for Inter, but barely won anything (in the case of Palacio it's zero titles)

we have the two subforums (LGI & Former...) because it's easier to browse that way, not because we have to show respect. It's hard with these popularity polls, some people will always have objections.

Ronaldo was LGI then he joined Merda, I'm over it tbh.

So anyway, we should start talking about some objective criteria which makes you LGI automatically.

ibra and ronaldo have to be in la grande inter. ronaldo globalized this club and he was the world's best player at inter. while ibrahimovic won inter three scudetti. their actions may have disrespected the shirt and the fans, but they both played a very big part in our history. vieri also has to be there.

its a popularity contest so different players are popular for different reasons. are we talking about the best players that have played for us or the most respected? to me at least, the criteria for LGI should be a player who deserves a lot of respect for their contributions to the club. it makes sense why people want to see cruz and crespo in lgi. they important contributions to successful inter sides, won titles here, and cruz scored a lot of goals vs juve while crespo showed affection for the shirt. no doubt palacio should find his way there too when he leaves us at the end of the season.

figo, simeone, and even recoba shouldnt be in that section.

Once again I reiterate

It's a POPULARITY CONTEST

I voted for the LGI and I can only suck my own thumb watching them in this section

This is exactly the problem. I think that this democratic way of deciding where former players belong is not the best thing to do.

People change their opinions over time. New members with different views are constantly joining the forums after the voting is made. These people may play a part in changing the votes' outcome. Right here Cruz is losing by 3 votes only. If you re-do the voting then the outcome might be different, and nobody has time for that shit.

I think it's time to start a different way of doing this. I suggest having certain conditions such as minimum number of seasons with Inter or minimum number of appearances or goals if he's a striker. I don't know what conditions to add but it is something that can be thought of after hearing everyone's opinions and suggestions.

For example, Zlatan's contributions to Inter as a player can't be compared in no way to Recoba's contributions despite being hated and having lesser time with the club. But does that make him an Inter legend? I have no idea.

bandiera's post is a perfect example. We don't have any kind of criteria of deciding what exactly makes a someone an Inter legend. I think we need to agree on some clear rules and stick to them.

Even those rules can be bullshit to some. The most sensible solution would be no more LGI, but to some members it holds some sentimental value that Zanetti is not in the same subforum as Jonathan or Schelotto.

There are only usually 2-3 players that people disagree with being in their section. The vast majority of the time if I want to post something I have seen about Cambiasso or something I have seen about Kharja, I'll know where to look. That should be the main point of separate sub-forums.

I think we should establish some criteria for the new LGI, when I'm done with my thesis (next week) I'll definitely land a hand.

I'd rather have an LGI with limited members than have one with fringe players getting in.

Or alternatively we can nominate someone into the LGI once a year so as to make it more important and also post a full biography on the guy to appreciate the history and the players who worked so hard for our colours.

What's the point of a poll in the first place if the losing side just want to open it again.

The poll is also over 6 years old. Most users have changed. Only the biggest no-life losers are still active 6 years on.

No disrespect at all to FIF but who gives a fuck about who's player thread is where, putting or moving a thread from section to another doesnt make legends in real life.

Each has his own legends regardless of what some random poll on a forum say.
