But do we really want Castro? Is he the right player for us or is he right just because he is young/cheap enough? Is giving Asllani to drop the price the best idea we can muster?

I would understand going for Retegui or even Lucca (to replace Arnautović). I know Castro is only 20, but I don't see if Castro would be an upgrade to, let's say, Taremi.

I've been wrong before ofc, maybe I'm not seeing something and I'm fixating too much on Lucca and that kind of players.

Define "right player" and within our budget. We can say someone like Paz is the right player for us, but the most important question is, can we afford him? Castro, Retegui, Lucca... we can be interested in any of these guys to replace our useless forwards, but we need to see if they're worth the money and if we can spend that much for them or not.

It's not that these are the only players we should go for. Only speaking based on the rumors so far.

I do admit that every time I've seen Castro, I wasn't exactly blown away. What is expected at Bologna is not the same as what is expected at Inter, that is what worries me.

This is always the risk when buying players from more minor clubs than Inter. And Inter is not at the position to buy players from bigger or maybe even equal sized clubs.

i really like castro what i've seen so far, i'd say he'd be an upgarde over taremi because of how disappointing the iranian has been. but yeah the main issue would be he's not a hungry, greedy goalscorer and that's what we need. so agree, someone like retegui is what we need if we stick with lautaro /thuram
