I think a lot of you are struggling to understand Italian culture. If you had a conversation with my grandparents about these matters, you would think they're racist. I know in my heart they're good people. They're not inherently evil or anything absurd like that, but its the values that were instilled in them in the 1950s in Italy differ from those we have today. And truthfully, I've given up trying to explain these things to them. I accept them for who they are and go with it.

I'm not saying this is the right approach by any means. These Ultras aren't 75 years old. But for those of you asking why our club hasn't made a statement, or why Italian football hasn't taken a serious effort to correct the blatant racism that exists in the sport, I'm of the belief the answer is because they truly don't care, or think they're doing anything overly wrong.

But Inter is a worldwide known club, founded on the base of accepting people from all over the world. That's not an excuse, and if that's the reason, they're incredibly classless and out of touch.

We are Chinese owned now, and I can tell you Chinese are one of the most racist people out there.

That in addition to whatever Italian core values, it probably makes us extra oblivious/indifferent.

I'm pretty sure Wallace was born in Brazil. That's why he knew all about Jonathan before he came to Inter.

What make you say that Chinese are racist? is it a bit much

Here we are not talking about the 'Italian', we are talking about a bunch of racist motherfuckers sitting somewhere in the CN.

Once again, not sure the Italian cultural justifications are persuasive. Appreciate the context but as someone said, this is a world club, world sport and benefits from a worldwide fan and viewer base. Additionally, it is owned by sophisticated foreign businessmen. Cultural obtuseness is just not a valid justification anymore. The behavior in question is obviously and overtly racist.

Veratti, an italian NT member and born italian, had said that clubs should walk off the pitch if racist taunting is done like the one directed at Lukaku. The behavior is unacceptable and the majority of the folks here are rightly outraged by the lack of response by the club.

Italian related paragraph was an addendum to whatever ADRossi wrote.

There was not even a tribute to Facchetti from the club today.

In this new era, he is probably not a club Legend anymore. Obviously, Inter #NotForEveryone

Wallace is spot on here. If you are not Han Chinese you're a "foreigner" that hardly matters.

the silence from Inter is deafening.

I've never had my loyalty to the club tested before in any serious way - sat through all the dark years, the Mancini resignation farce, Thohir, loads of shit.

This right now though, makes me wonder what I'm supporting.

Let's give the management the benefit of the doubt, shall we? Sure as hell they have to do something, and i'm convinced they are working on it. Maybe they were caught off guard and genuinely didn't know what was the best reaction.

Literally all you have to do is say, “we do not align ourselves or recognize this group of hooligans, we are taking the appropriate measure to ensure the well being and the integrity of our players and staff. More will follow” literally that is a better message to the FUCKING WORLD than being silent. Everyone is mocking us and they need to nip this quickly

Yeah BUU was a cop out.
Let's see some real action this time.
It'll be worth it in the long term.

Inter taking a stance will make absolutely no difference in the long term. It may reflect well on the club but I do not think it will go any further than that. And the window of opportunity for the club to respond in a timely and appropriate manner is quickly closing to the extent that if time continues to tick, any statement or gesture from the club will be meaningless or come across as an afterthought.

Sadly, Italian football needs more than a single club to take action. The Lega has to lead by example and their silence and lack of action is deafening. It also goes a long way to explaining why racism continues to be a problem in Italy. Racism in football and the lack of any action to deal with it exists because racism in Italy is institutional and has trickled into every walk of life. Change needs to come from the top. Until that happens, nothing will ever change and that is why we are still talking about racist incidents in 2019 and will be doing so in another fifteen years from now.

Every second that goes by without a response makes us look worse. We should have gotten a statement out within two hours.

Inter condemns the statement published by a small part of our Curva Nord group. The statement does not reflect the values of our club which was founded on internationalism and inclusion. Whilst we understand the efforts to put off opposition and their players, doing so on the basis of racial discrimination is unacceptable. Inter continues to pursue an anti-racism stance and any supporters found endorsing racist perspectives like these will not be a welcome part of the Inter family and will be banned from Inter matches for life.

I did that in 5 minutes at 7:20 am.

Exactly it’s that easy to put out a statement condemning this bullshit we are going through. It’s fucking mind boggling that nothing has been said.
