Giroud has always been known to be very inconsistent, missed easy chances about 3x as much as Lautaro, and at his best never came close to Lautaro's best (Lautaro is 25 btw). It's only due to his longevity (aka revisionism) that people now tend to see him more positively.
Giroud is going to end up on my list next to Miroslav Klose as average to good strikers but extremely overrated thanks to longevity.

10 years of FIFGlad that he's doing very well these days. I never had a doubt on his quality. I'm even more happier that he is being decisive for us. Despite of receiving so much hate and criticism which was a kind of unfair to me, he still stood professional and never flinched a bit his commitment towards the club.

After coming back from winning the World Cup, he has been our best player. I recommend all of our players to win the WC at least once.

10 years of FIFHe was great for Argentina as well. Yes he was quite wasteful in WC matches, but also did many good things, but people are so toxic these days. Besides, he was crucial for Argentina in their Copa America triumph.

Forum Supporter10 years of FIFThe only thing he was lacking in the WC was the finishing which is obviously the most critical attribute as a striker. Everything else he did mostly superbly. His movement is a million times better than Alvarez but Alvarez was finishing his chances.

10 years of FIFThis i ve been one of his bigger critics on here but dude has been in beast mode since the WC and his consistency has picked up big time since then which was my biggest issue with him.
Also dude just seems extra driven since the WC goes for every 50/50 ball and seems to be full of energy.
