Come on he’s definitely improved. His finishing is not where it should be but his overall play has come a long way. He just shouldn’t be allowed near penalties unless there’s no one else who can hit them.

What the fuck is your problem guys? Where do you get that "he doesn't deliver in CL" bullshit from? The guy scored in many big matches we've played in CL over the last couple of seasons, then he's constantly doing his best even though it probably isn't ideal. Last night he was at least putting so much effort and has done quite a few things but lack of support let him down.

In overall he was average because he has so many misplaced passes here and there, but also had some beautiful touches and won some balls as well. It doesn't say much because he's leveled up his standard. But as soon as he's not at his best, people come here and bitch that he's awful.

Then again, our game was entirely based on defending and counter-attacking, which the latter part was pretty damn rubbish in overall. We have lack of communation and our attack looks in de-sync when it comes to executing things. Dzeko was way worse than him, and Lukaku is just trying but he's far from a competent striker these days.

But he is still our most valid striker and his activity is crucial, just never ever allow him to take a penalty, other than that at the moment I don't think we can play without him, I hope he scores against Juve and starts a new positive streak because us finishing in the top 4 depends on his form.

Yes, this Lautaro superstar needs to get out of anyone's system if it's still there.

He's an unbelievable warrior and a leader but he just isn't your superstar who can stuff by himself. Add the goals he scores (he will be our top scorer for the second season in a row now) and he barely justifies his salary.

I never said it's not a fact. You just said he can't deliver in CL and I'm arguing about it. He is not a typical goal-scorer. I have also said that he's quite wasteful at times but also he tends to score quite a lot despite that he was never the main target-man in Inter. Before it was Icardi, then Lukaku and now Dzeko.

To me these stats don't have a huge meaning because I can see in the actual game that Lautaro does very well and contributes for the team in one way or another. But you are not answering my question;

What analysis do you want? Grandpa Dzeko has scored more than Lautaro in CL. Out of form Lukaku has actually scored more. It's embarrassing for Lautaro. Lautaro isn't a creator so scoring is definitely a part of his job. His high work rate isn't enough to save him from criticism. There's nothing else to add really.

Thing with Lautaro is he's not a clinical finisher. He plays instinct game so his decisions with the ball are rushed time to time. But he uses so much energy to the work he does (what the coaches want!) that his output in scoring is affected. If we take out the work and effort he puts in every game, he might score more but then we could ask, would he? Would we have the same chances each game if no one was doing that work?

And yet he is STILL our top scorer this season.
