Considering his age he is entering in his prime years, I hope for Benzema like development for him.
If it goes well he has something like 7 years of prime ahead and this will be huge for us.

Great game, great 2nd goal. But man, that the first goal was a risky shot while you have free Dima with an empty goal in front of him. A better choice would be a passing ball to Dima. Thank God that shot went in so we now don't have to talk about that bad decision.

In situations like that passing to an approaching teammate is even riskier, cause he might be offside already. I can rest assured Lautaro had that milisecond of thought and decided to finish instead. Had Dimarco been offside and Lautaro passed the ball to him, you would be blaming him for not finishing by himself.

You got players with decision making, finishing , etc. Ill take finishing for a striker even it that means missing a few goals for being greedy. In the long run, greed for goal is what makes a striker successful and translates into a higher goal conversion.

Understand, but don't agree. A good player (no matter what position he is) should see all possibilities and pick the best one for the team.

You do realise that Lautaro has no idea where Dimarco is until very late in the play.

The pass is made on Lautaros right side, meaning Lautaro has his back to/not seeing Dimarco the entire run into the box. When he turns with the ball, he does notice Dimarco in the splitsecond when he decides to shoot, which was the right decision. He had clearly already decided what to do in his head.

If Lautaro had recieved the pass on his left and been having Dimarco in his FOV the entire run into the box, then you might have had a point. But that wasnt the case, shooting was the right call and 99% of all forwards would have done so in that situation.

His efforts to win the ball back is amazing. He does that even better than most of defensive midfielders. Many times we have scored goals thanks to his defensive effort to win the ball by a tackle or a physical duel. Appreciate his efforts so much, and besides of that, I'm glad that he's been crucial for us lately. Everything that goes well on his side, is completely deserved.

If only our team as a whole could perform like a real champ in the final, that would have been something truly unique. We have gone from being a disaster to a magnificient team in a short period of time.

Lautaro is attached to Inter and its fans, unless the club is willing to sacrifice him, I don't see him willing to leave Inter for another destination.
