A simple Google check can get you there. Here it is.

Lets not act like skriniar was not a lying little bitch when he said this...
The facts that unfolded afterwards make it very clear that he did nothing for the love of inter.

Someone asked if he actually said it and this is just a proof of that. Im not gonna go in circlejerking whether skriniar meant it or not but timeline matters and people/circumstances do change.

Next time some of y'all believe every rumour out there, I'll just link this thread. This probably being his last big contract with us, 9mil+bonuses per year is good and not too much.
Tbf it was his agent giving statements not rumours?

Look 9m insane contract if he wants more he needs to go to PSG and never win anything or to the EPL and never win anything.

He wants more then go on win copa America as the top scorer and not bottle up in big games
Just imagine he is Colombian.

So apparently he is going to get 9.5mil a season. I was really hoping we get a hefty sum by selling him.

Lautaro will end up moving on I think in a year or two if the ownership doesn't improve. I do not see Oaktree as a stable ownership group, they are best served
flipping resources not sitting on them and playing owner. This game is far too competitive and expensive for them to figure it out in a year or two. So best case is they flip the club for a nice payday to a long term owner who will finally put this club where it should be, as a CL Cup level payroll roster.

But he is of crucial importance to them punching above their weight the way they have, and there are no words for how relieved I am he is returning. One of my all-time favorite players. (y)

I don't really get your point about figuring it out - the most realistic scenario ATM is that marotta gets more power and keeps a reasonable amount of funding. Oaktree don't really need to figure shit out they just need to leave it to marotta

Afterwards?
Like 4 years later? Did we not try to sell him 5 times in the meantime?

This 9 m wage is not gonna work so Just sell him at the right price.
He knows we have a salary cap due to our fucked up financial situation so his demand is unreasonable.

I wish him best and hope we can sell him as high as Lukaku.

Our management seems to disagree with you. Rumour is he has signed the contract.

If this is true, I really hope it's just a plan to avoid the risk of a free departure, so we have the upper hand in negotiations with other clubs.

Just imagine he is Colombian.

he'd be like the richest Colombian think Falcao made 15m tax free at Monaco but that required him going to FKING Monaco when PSG wasn't even good yet. Also that fk tard Ranieri costing us the 2014 WC trophy by playing him vs a fking 3rd division team where a Plummer broke his leg.

So yea... if Lautaro wants to go for the money and play against a bunch of farmers go that route...

Lautaro needs to score in big games for us and for Argentina before these insane offers you all think will come for him come.

Real, Bayern, City(as long as they keep their coach) are really the only clear upgrades from Inter and none of them need him.

He can go to a EPL team that isnt as good for money or France. No Italian team or Spanish team can afford him.

What free departure? Lautaro's current contract, without this incoming renewal, expired in 2026. It was never going to be free agent move with him.

People confuse Skriniar's case to this way too much. There aren't too many similarities. I'm sure Lautaro could have got more from the market than 9m+bonuses if he wanted. But he chose to stay.

I'm going to claim a W from this one, I think this went exactly like I explained from the beginning this whole story got out. It was all about Lautaro's will and the agent maximizing the poor leverage he had.

In the end agent maximized the contract for his client and it was far from the rumored figures. Figures which might have been BS or then not (irrelevant honestly). Difference here (compared to Skriniar) was Lautaro wasn't even thinking leaving and agent probably milked some market information (the PSG connection) just for a reference.

Great extension with the addition of Barella's and Inzaghi's extensions will keep Inter world extremely calm this summer and the preparation for next season will be good.

I will post this here instead of here: https://forzainterforums.com/index....s-an-inter-podcast.16078/page-29#post-2261276

To reach wider audience (with some interesting stats) I guess.

This is fair but we also have to take into account that Lewa for example is 35 and starting to slow down. He probably wasn’t the best example to use but when you’re thinking on the fly he’s one that comes to mind because of what he’s done the last 10 years of his career.

The truth is there aren’t really many better at the CF role currently. I’d probably say Halaand, Kane and Mbappe (when he even plays there) are the only ones I’d say are a clear level above.

However when you compare him to the world class strikers we’ve had in previous generations it also doesn’t do him any favors. We had guys that were extremely clutch in big moments and that’s what we as fans remember most. There’s no hiding Lautaro’s champions league record in recent years.

He is still relatively young though and approaching his prime. Milito was 30 when he put in this CL performances. I agree the best is yet to come.

Nothing to disagree here really.

I just checked his CL record...

Lautaro is scoring just 0.27 goals per match in CL which is way under our best all-time goalscorers there...Adriano 0.54 (14 goals) and Julio Cruz 0.38 (13 goals). Lautaro is third there with 12 but he played most games...44 (to be fair he played around 3100 minutes which is around 34 full games).

Crespo is next with 11 goals (0.48),then Eto's with 10 (0.43),then with 9 Lukaku (0.50),Milito (0.41) and Martins (0.36).

Out of all of this mentioned only Lukaku played under 20 games (18).

Now what I found interesting...0.27 goals per match is the exact score Ibrahimović and Vieri had with us (both played 22 games). They are also the worst when it comes to minutes per goal. Ibrahimović with 305,Vieri with 281. Then comes Lautaro with goal every 259 minutes. After that out of all of this mentioned we only had Eto'o with over 200 (204).

Ibrahimović is certified loser, I doubt Lautaro will stay in that range in the future.

I'm honestly more worried about Thuram. He had 1/8 so far with us. 0.13 per game, goal every 461 minutes. Going to his Gladbach days...he overall scored only 3 in 16 games (I know he played there as a winger but still). Goal every 353 minutes. And he scored just in two games out of this 16 (2 against Real with Gladbach and against Benfica with us).

Now you can go more in depth about all of this if you (not neccesarily you) want. I think Lautaro scored few clutch goals. Just quick math...we can say he gave us 5 points in last two seasons with his goals in group stage (minute 85 penalty in Salzburg for a 1-0 win, minute 87 goal in Sociedad for a 1-1 draw and he scored in minute 63 for 2-1 lead at Camp Nou last season season which ended in a 3-3 draw) and then last season he scored in knockout stage for 1-0 win against Milan and for 2-1 lead against Benfica which ended 3-3. We advanced in both cases. In first season with Inzaghi he scored that only goal at Anfield. Previously with Conte he also scored at Bernabeu,Camp Nou and at Westfallen but we got 0 points from this games. Out of his 12 goals he scored just three at Meazza (third one is for 1-0 against Dormund in a 2-0 win).

Now,you can go through his game log if you want and pickup games when you think he should have scored or pickup his bad games in CL. For example,he didn't scored against Atletico this season but I can't say he was having a bad game. He had few good balls to Thuram and Barella there in return leg. Returned leg against Benfica and Sociedad this season he only played 36 minutes combined (honestly I think Inzaghi fucked this up,his only mistake this season probably). Then you are left only with first games against Benfica and Salzburg when he maybe didn't contribute (honestly need a remainder was he good in this games or not). And so on if you want to take a look at his last seasons...

Ibra is kinda the Kevin Durant of football. There are certain ways in which he is, in fact, a loser, even tho he is an exceptional talent and a proven winner.
